Relief is still far from the horizon for the family of Pa Olajide Johnson Ojo who have been under serious deadly attacks from an influential politician.

The prominent family became very popular in Lagos and Nigeria through its scion, the late pa Olajide Johnson Ojo Who owns several landed properties in virtually every state of Nigeria prominent among them is the 2 acres of land at Ibeju-Lekki Local government area Lagos State and which is amongst the many cause of the serial attacks from which the family is currently suffering.

The late pa, Olajide Johnson Ojo before his demise, had willed a large portion of his many estates to his last born and only daughter one Mrs Olayemi Grace Afolabi because of his love and preference for her.

Not satisfied with the decision, pa Olajide’s younger brother who Is a prominent politician in the state, had sought to relinquish the innocent woman of some of the prized properties believed to be situated in choice locations across the country. He has since launched series of deadly attack on the woman and her family relying on his influence and power as a strong politician.

In a fresh attack on another member of the family, the influential politician identified as Ganiyu A. Johnson was allegedly said to have ordered thugs to beat and injure one Adenike Adu Whom he perceived to be in his way from usurping a property believed to have been willed to a member of the family.

Mrs Adenike Adu was admitted at the ETF of the general hospital in Ikorodu Lagos state. She was attacked and brutalized on her way back home from work by unknown assailants believed to be men of Hon Ganiyu A. Johnson.

Mrs Olayemi Grace Afolabi was said to have run, first out of Lagos, and thereafter outside Nigeria, for her life and that of her husband and kids after series of attack on her family and her Lagos residence over a year ago. Her whereabouts and that of her husband and kids her still in doubt according to family sources who spoke with this correspondent on condition of anonymity for fear of coming under attack.

Mrs Olayemi Grace Afolabi, it will be recalled, was allegedly attacked at the instance of the politician, in company of armed men while celebrating her birthday in their Lagos residence sometimes in June 2023, an incident which forced the couple to vacate their apartment and seek refuge where they deem safe.

The assailants, Sahara weekly also learned, went as far as attacking a friend and benefactor of Mrs Olayemi Grace Afolabi, Mrs Folashade Oyinola Adegoriola in her Ekiti residence where the two children of the targeted couple are said to be currently seeking refuge.

When contacted, Mrs Adenike Adu and Mrs Folashade Adegoriola, in their separate testimonies, recounted their ordeal and encounter with the assailants regretting their decision to have intervened in the story of Mrs Olayemi Afolabi. They both said their lives are no longer safe from their tormentors. They however advised Mrs Olayemi Grace Afolabi and her husband to never return to Nigeria to avoid being killed as the assailants are bent on wiping the family out to avoid any further claim of ownership to the valuable landed properties causing the problems.

Efforts to reach honourable
Ganiyu A.Johnson to hear his side of the story proved abortive as calls to his two lines were not attended to nor returned.
