Festus Keyamo Empowers 1,700 Deltan Youths, Women In Uvwie Kingdom
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN, Fciarb UK will today Thursday, November 14th, 2019 empower 1,700 unemployed Delta youths and women under the National Directorate of Employment’s Micro Enterprise Enhancement Scheme- MEES in line with the federal government directives of job creation.
The event will be graced by dignitaries such as the honourable Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, the Director General, National Directorate of Employment, Dr. Nasir Mohammed Ladan Argungu, the royal father of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel E. Sideso, OON, JP ABE 1 among others.
The National Directorate of Employment-NDE is one of the parastatals directly under the supervision of the honourable minster of State, Mr. Festus Keyamo with a mission to design and implement job creation programmes that will promote attitudinal change, employment generation, poverty reduction and wealth creation.
The empowerment programme which holds at the Palace of Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty,
Emmanuel E. Sideso, OON, JP ABE 1, will see 1000 unemployed youths being empowered with new HP laptops while about 200 women get sewing machines. There will also be disbursement of loans for 1000 women to support micro businesses.
The event coincides with a grand homecoming reception organized by the royal father of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty,
Emmanuel E. Sideso, OON, JP ABE 1 at his GRA, Efunrun palace.
