Guaranty Trust has been at the forefront of the advocacy for children and adults living with autism. Its Annual Conference is the major rallying point for driving awareness about Autism, campaigning against the social stigma associated with developmental disorders, and helping people with autism live a full and productive life. In 2020, the Guaranty Trust Annual Conference was held via live stream, bringing together people from around the world at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year, alongside the livestream option, attendees will be able to physically participate in the Conference, whilst observing all health and safety guidelines. At the two-day event, seasoned specialists from renowned institutions, such as Duquesne University, Pennsylvania and The Color of Autism Foundation, USA, will deliver keynote presentations, panel discussions, and topical Q&A sessions on managing Autism. Some of the facilitators include Dr. Waganesh Zeleke of Duquesne University, USA, Lanre Duyile of Behaviorprise Consulting Inc, Canada, and Kora Hardy of Nuru Behavioral Network, USA.

Commenting on the 11th Guaranty Trust Annual Autism Conference, Segun Agbaje, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust said, “The theme of our Annual Autism Conference this year strikes at the very heart of why we are passionate in our advocacy for people with developmental disorders. We strongly believe in building a world of equal opportunity for everyone, and through this Conference, we constantly challenge ourselves and the society at large to do more to help people with autism live a full and rewarding life beyond their diagnosis.”

Guaranty Trust is regarded by industry watchers as one of the best run financial institutions across its subsidiary countries and serves as a role model within the financial service industry due to its bias for world-class corporate governance standards and commitment to enriching lives, uplifting communities and driving societal progress through a well-defined Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

According to reports, Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi immersed himself in the glamour of Paris Fashion Week just weeks before gearing up for Fulham’s pre-season in Germany.

The Fulham star, known for his flair, indulged in the latest summer fashion trends while also partaking in exhibition matches and exploring chic Parisian boutiques during his well-deserved break.

Last Wednesday, both Fulham and Iwobi shared a spirited Instagram post featuring Iwobi in the club’s jersey, captioned ‘Reset. Ready.’

Pre-season preparations across Premier League clubs are set to kick off early this month, with rigorous training regimes and friendly fixtures designed to fine-tune team fitness ahead of the 2024/25 season opener scheduled for the weekend of August 16. Crystal Palace notably began their preparations with a closed-door friendly against National League side Sutton United.

Only Fulham’s last match of the pre-season is yet unconfirmed on their official website and on the Premier League website. Fulham will travel to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for a friendly on August 10 as their last pre-season game. It’s the second year in a row they’ve faced the Germans, following their 2-1 win at Craven Cottage last summer, with Iwobi’s compatriot Calvin Bassey getting on the scoresheet.

Last campaign, Iwobi had a great outing in his first season with the Cottagers following his £22m move from Everton. His debut season proved successful following his £22m move from Everton, culminating in his best-scoring league record to date.

The Nigeria international scored five Premier League goals, previously never scoring more than three for Arsenal in a single season, while his best return at Everton was just two goals.

Iwobi also provided two assists, bringing his goal contributions last season to seven in 30 top-flight appearances.
