N20 Million Mega Plus Economic Empowerment Program: Taiwo Oyekan Supports Vulnerable Residents in Lagos Island

 

In a heartwarming gesture of community service and upliftment, the Deputy Leader of Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan, led his team to distribute empowerment slots worth N20 million to vulnerable residents across the Lagos Island Local Government Area.

 

The initiative, held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, was targeted at widows, elderly persons, traders, artisans, technicians, and individuals living with disabilities. The empowerment program brought joy and relief to recipients, as the team visited the Isale-Eko, Olowogbowo, and Okoo Faji communities.

Empowering Communities, Changing Lives

Amidst excitement and gratitude, beneficiaries of the program applauded Hon. Oyekan for his commitment to improving lives and fostering community development. Many expressed deep appreciation for his efforts, urging him to continue his impactful work in service of humanity.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Oyekan reaffirmed his dedication to the well-being of the people and the advancement of Lagos Island communities.

Speaking through a new year message Olagoke said ,’as we enter 2025 believe in God because He has promised to establishment a new Nigeria where bandits and kidnappers would not have opportunity to operate again, where there will be no cause to cry or live in abject poverty again .

He added that God revealed to him that there will be economic turn around in the country called Nigeria if we can believe in Hm as a nation because he is ready to answer our prayers”.

Quoting from the scriptures the Baba Alakoso said ,”As I welcome you to 2025,”the Lord said unto us his people that he will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall He take away from the earth. Isaiah 25:8 our Lord God had spoken this for all Nigerians and we shall have no rebuke among nations .
“Happy new year and peaceful co-existence.”

At the forefront of the Elite Women Musicians Club of Lagos Club is Alhaja Queen Isimot Abake Abiola PQ1st (Omo Opeki), the President. Her leadership is a source of inspiration for many, guiding the Club with a vision of inclusivity and excellence. Supporting her is Alhaja Queen Halimot Ayinla Omowura, the Vice President, whose dedication ensures the smooth operation and growth of the association.

 

Alhaja Badirat Adunni Olaniyan (Just Like That) serves as the Treasurer, managing the financial health of the Club with precision. The Social Secretary, Alhaja Aminat Babalola Balogun (Omotayebi, Iya Kekere Eko), brings vibrancy and connectivity, fostering a sense of community among the members. Asiwaju Yeye Tosin Eniba (Fuji Queen), the Secretary, ensures that the administrative duties are handled efficiently, supporting the organizational backbone of the Club.
