“No student was shot during my show” – K1 De Ultimate

Earlier on, a news was making rounds that one of Wasiu Ayinde Boys allegedly shot a student during his show and that he has been invited by the police for interrogation. However, He has debuncked the rumours and asserted that no student was shot. Read his response below:

”My attention has been drawn to a story about a student purportedly shot at Ago Iwoye where my band was engaged to perform early Sunday morning.

I wish to state that no such incident happened throughtout the few hours we stayed at the community, at least to the best of my knowlege. of such ever happened, to the best of my knowledge.

It should be noted that there was good presence of security personnel of both police and soldiers was at the venue which obviously will reinforce the fact that there would not be any act of thuggery or harassment at the event.

Truly, the event was without rancour from about 3:30 am on sunday morning  till about 6: 15am we stopped performance.

The event also had in attendance  the traditional paramount ruler of the community and a host of other distinguished dignitaries including loads of students..

After the show i spent some time to take pictures as requested by some students and my fans before we eventually left the town

I headed straight to my resident in Ijebu Ode where I stayed for about seven hours before I finally returned to lagos to catch a flight to London.

I was shocked thereafter when i started to receive calls from well meaning friends and family concerning a story  in The Punch Newspaper this morning that I was wanted in connection with shooting of a student at Ago Iwoye .

I will like to state categorically that I was not aware of such and neither my band was involved in any fracas that coulday lead to the breakdown of law and order.

Finally,  I  want to implore the highest authority of the police to begin proper investigation into the matter to unravel the truth nothing but the truth.”

Thank you and God bless
