#Obinna, with God my son will get justice – Mother By Ifeoma Ikem

Gift Ohanazoeze, mother of the 19-month-old Obinna Udeze, who was flogged to death by his teacher in Delta State says its only God that will help her late son get justice.

“I say no to injustice, my son must get justice said obinna’s mother who is still recovering from the shock of her son’s death.

“Wonders in a nation where leaders who suppose to protect and care for it’s citizenry are the one’s oppressing them.

“After the Delta state Commissioner of
Commissioner of Humanitarian and Community Support Services Hon Bridget Anyafulu.

asked me to drop the case of my late son 19 months old,who was flogged to death by his teacher that I do not have the money for the case, the proprietress of the school, Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School, Asaba, has been released from the police custody”.

She informed our correspondent that she was passing through the school premises surprisingly she saw the proprietress and her husband carrying out renovations in the school that was sealed by the state government.

Ohanazoeze said that the way his son’s case is being handled by the Delta state shows that the voiceless in the society can’t get justice, “but with God on my side, my late son will get justice, his death will not be swept under the carpet.

Obinna was hale and hearty before he was taken to school that faithful day.

“I could not believe that my son is no more, if I had gotten a prophecy that 8 days after his enrollment in Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School that such will happen I would have rebuked it,” she added.

A business man and Human Rights Activist Comr. Prince Iche Saviour is calling on Nigerians to join hands to ensure that Obinna gets justice.

Iche expressed disappointed on the fact that the authorities in Delta state has released the proprietress of the school without the consent of Obinna’s parents.

According to him, Obinna’s mother was shocked when she was passing by the school and saw the school proprietress with artisans working in the school which had been shut down.

“What type of system is Nigeria operating where an ordinary person can’t get justice, how can a complainant be left out of the case without sharing the date of hearing of the matter in the court with him or her?

“Every sector is corrupt, we the masses do not know where to run to again, it is only in this country that they will beat up someone and still stop the person from crying out or speaking up.

“However, releasing of the suspects doesn’t speak well of that state, imagine the proprietress carrying out renovations barely 4 months of the incident, as a mother and grandmother she did not feel the pain Obinna’s mother.
