*Rev. Dr. Bola Ige*, popularly known by her stage name *Olorun Ayo*, is marking her birthday in a way that reflects her deep commitment to faith, music, and community service. Born and raised in Surulere, Lagos, Bola Ige’s journey has been one of dedication and growth, both spiritually and musically. Her educational background includes attending *Municipal Primary School, Surulere*, *Ansar-ur-Deen Secondary School, Randle Avenue, Surulere*, and further studies at *Federal Polytechnic Offa* and *Federal University of Technology, Minna*. Bola Ige’s musical journey began in the church choir, where she developed her vocal talent and passion for gospel music. Between 1980 and 1983, she served as a backup singer for the late Prince Astrup, a period that significantly influenced her musical path. She fully embraced her calling as a gospel artist in 1993, and has since released two albums: *”Olorun Ayo”* on December 24th, 2010, and *”Oba Ni”* on February 19th, 2024. Her music, filled with spiritual depth and uplifting messages, has resonated with audiences far and wide.

 

 

 

Beyond her musical career, Bola Ige is an ordained evangelist, holding a Doctorate in Theology. She serves as a *Senior Prophetess* and pastor, guiding many in their spiritual journeys. Her ministry is heavily influenced by her parents — *Late Pastor Joshua Oladiipo Atere* and her mother, an *Apostolic leader*—who instilled in her the values of faith and service.

 

 

Bola Ige hails from *Ilesha township in Osun State* and is the second of five siblings. She is a dedicated wife and mother, with a loving family that includes both sons and a daughter.
