Suspension: IPAC Summons Arabambi, Others Over Crisis in Ogun

ABEOKUTA – The National Secretariat of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has waded into the lingering crisis rocking the Ogun State chapter of the Council.

THE ENCOUNTER NEWS recalls that, Ogun IPAC Chairman, Abayomi Arabambi was on Tuesday suspended by Dispute Resolution Committee of the Council over alleged gross misconduct and abuse of office.

The suspension was announced on Tuesday at the inauguration of IPAC Committee Chairmen in Abeokuta, the state capital and presided over by the deputy chairman, Moshood Adesina.

Chairmen of 34 political parties, who attended the meeting, unanimously voted in favour of the suspension.

This was after the party’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee disclosed that it had received three petitions against the embattled chairman.

But in a letter signed by the National Secretary, Aye Georgina Dakpokpo dated 25th April, 2019, IPAC national has invited all members of the council in the state to the National secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, 2nd May, 2019.

The letter stated that, failure by all members of the council in Ogun State to attend the truce meeting, will leave the national office with no choice than to review the situation independently in their absence.

“In view of the recent crisis that has rocked the Ogun State IPAC, the National Office has deemed it necessary to step in.

“You (Chairman), along with every member of the Ogun State chapter, involved in this situation are therefore, by this letter summoned to be at the National Secretariat in Thursday, 2nd May, 2019 by 2pm.

“Failure to be available, at the stated date, will leave the national headquarters with no choice other than to review the situation independently and in your absence.

“A final decision will be reached in line with the provisions of the IPAC code of conduct for political parties and other relevant constitutional provisions”.

The prophetic Hall of fame, prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Lagos has called on the security operatives to arrest anyone parading himself as the president of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo in Lagos apart from Chief Solomon Aguene who is recognised by the law.

Speaking during the coronation of Eze Ohazurume Ndi Igbo of Lekki on the 5th of May,2023, he warned Chief Ossai to stop causing discord and confusion among the Igbo’s in Lagos.He urged the security operatives to arrest him for flaunting himself as the president despite the court ruling which elongated the tenure of the serving president.

He went ahead to profess his love for the Igbo’s,he said that the president of Nigeria,Bola Ahmed Tinubu also love them,he urged them to stay united so that they can achieve great things in the Nigerian nation.He said “I have immense love for the Igbo’s because they are a great tribe,the Bola Ahmed Tinubu also love them,they should come together and remain united in order achieve great things ”

The number one prophet in Nigeria, the prophetic Hall of fame, prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Lagos, has applauded the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwolu for being exceptional as a serving governor.

 

Speaking today in Ikeja, Lagos,the handsome prophet was full of praises for the governor,he said ” while some governors were busy embezzling money, Sanwolu was busy working, making Lagos the attraction of Nigeria and enviable,God will continue to bless him and his commissioners”

He maintained that Lagos is now very beautiful because of the commitment and sincerity of the governor,he said “just some weeks ago, the president was here to commissioner the redline train which is a remarkable achievement, Sanwolu making indelible mark in Lagos,there are many visible projects going on in Lagos at the moment,i want other governors to emulate him so that Nigeria can be a better place, the reason why people keep flooding Lagos is because there is nothing in other states,the governors are diverting the money that is meant for the development of the states”

 

He stressed further and described the governor as some who is very humble and respectful ” I will continue to pray for him and his commissioners , that God will continue to protect and guide them”.

Sahara Weekly Reports That The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) is set to commence the construction of a state-of-the-art hostel block for the Federal University of Technology, Minna. The project, which is being executed under the philanthropic initiative of the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu (CFR, CON), will provide contemporary hostel accommodation for undergraduate students within the university’s main campus. The proposed hostel facility will accommodate 108 students with other auxiliary facilities such as laundries, kitchenettes, common rooms, and the warden’s room.

Speaking at the groundbreaking event, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta, expressed joy for having the University as one of the beneficiaries of the ASR Africa Tertiary Education Grant Scheme. He extended the University’s appreciation to the Chairman of ASR Africa and the BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu and added that upon completion, a large number of students will have access to hostel accommodation thereby reducing the number of students that are exposed to insecurity and other vices outside the university campus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In his response, Dr. Ubon Udoh, the Managing Director of ASR Africa, affirmed the excellent reputation of the University of Minna which ranked amongst the top 10 Nigerian universities and top 2500 in the world by Webometrics. He applauded the management of the university for prioritizing the security of their students amidst the institution’s quantum of needs. In his words, “The choice of this project will facilitate the relocation of the university’s temporary accommodations back into the main campus”. Dr Udoh urged the student to ensure proper use of the building which is constructed with state-of-the-art facilities.

The hostel accommodation is designed to have an apartment styled accommodations with each room having an en-suite bath and water closet facilities.
