In a statement released by the Chairman of the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, Amb Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi, condolences were extended to the families of the deceased, and sympathies were expressed for the wounded. The Chairman of the Foundation highlighted the concern of the Grand Patron of the foundation, His Excellency Amb Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai CFR Betara of Biu, upon hearing the tragic news.

The foundation emphasized the importance of not using this tragic incident to fuel tribal, regional, or religious tensions. It urged the populace to remain calm and allow the government and security agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter.

The incident prompted swift regret and an apology from the Nigerian Army High Command, led by the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TA Lagbaja, followed by Chief of Defence Staff Gen CG Musa and the Kaduna State Government. The presidency also expressed sympathy and announced the institution of an investigation panel. These actions are commendable and represent steps in the right direction. The Grand Patron of the Foundation has expressed his commendations to the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Defence Staff for their courage, maturity, and professional approach in handling the unfortunate incident.

However, it is crucial to recognize that this unfortunate incident occurred within the context of an ongoing struggle against bandits and terrorists who seek to undermine our nation’s security and unity. These enemies of our country will seize upon any opportunity, such as this incident, to further divide us and subvert our sovereignty.

It is imperative that we remain united in the fight against insecurity. Engaging in blame games and fostering negative sentiments will only serve to demoralize our troops and hinder our troops’ efforts to create a safe and secure Nigeria. The ongoing inquiries will help shed light on the true circumstances surrounding the Tudun Biri incident.

The foundation assured the public that the government and security agencies are fully engaged in addressing the situation. “There is no government that will deliberately kill its own people,” the statement read. “Mistakes may have been made, but we urge you to remain calm and trust in the ability of the government and security agencies to rectify the situation.”

While these inquiries are being put in place, it is very necessary to advise on the need for training and retraining of the troops in all aspects of tactics, operational art, and the use of modern technologies. Intelligence operations must be coordinated by all the security agencies at the local government, state, and national levels. This will give the added advantage for effective planning and execution of operations either jointly or by a single Service.

The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has been actively involved since the incident, providing support and assistance to the affected families and communities. The foundation remains committed to helping those affected by this tragedy.

In closing, the foundation offered its prayers for an end to the insecurity challenges that continue to pose a threat to the nation. It called for unity and cooperation among all Nigerians in order to overcome these challenges and ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for all.

As the investigation into the accidental bombing continues, the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation stands in solidarity with the affected families and the Kaduna State Government, offering its support and condolences during this difficult time.
