It wasn’t expected that the candidate of the ruling party, Amadou Ba who has the backing of the outgoing president, Macky Sall would lose the election to an opposition. Therefore, Primate Ayodele who repeatedly revealed in his prophecies that dates back to 2022 that the ruling party would not win has become a celebrity in Senegal for accurately foreseeing the unprecedented.

Why Primate Ayodele’s Prophecies Are Trending In Senegal*
By Paul Diouf, Dakar

In 2022, Primate Ayodele had mentioned that the major opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko will win the presidential election and it would only take serious rigging to deny him victory in the election. It would be recalled that as at that time, Sonko had not been disqualified to contest and was his party’s preferred presidential candidate.

These were the prophet’s words

‘The coming election in Senegal will be very tough. The only way Sonko will not win is if there is rigging, it is only rigging that can take Sonko away’’.

Later in 2023, Primate Ayodele in another video mentioned that if Sonko, who is the face of the opposition contests the election, the ruling party will fail. In other words, if the opposition is allowed to contest, the ruling party would lose the presidential seat.

In publications on some major newspapers, Primate Ayodele maintained that the opposition has all it takes to win the election provided rigging won’t take place. In one of the publications, his prophecy encapsulated all that later happened in Senegal when President Macky Sall attempted to extend his tenure and how the election turned out.

These were his words:

‘’Senegal: The election in Senegal will be very tough. Without rigging, the opposition will win. The ruling party is desperate and hell-bent on retaining the seat. Senegal must pray against troubles, anarchy and I also see a coup being aborted in Senegal. I see danger looming in Senegal. Macky Sall must have a rethink. The prime minister who is expected to replace him will have issues and it will cause disagreement between both of them.’’

Again in another publication, Primate Ayodele revealed that President Macky Sall is ready to ensure his candidate wins the election but if Ousmane Sonko is released from the prison, the ruling party will not win. This prophecy was shared when Ousmane Sonko got arrested by the government; He was released ten days before the election alongside the President-elect, Diomaye Faye whom he endorsed.

These were the prophet’s words:

‘’ President Macky Sall is determined to ensure his candidate wins the election; there will be so many troubles in the election. The president will do everything possible to ensure the prime minister wins. However, if Ousmane Sonko is released from prison, He will defeat the president’s candidate and I foresee a situation that will lead to military intervention.’’

In case you are wondering why in Primate Ayodele’s prophecies, Ousmane Sonko was mentioned but Diomaye Faye won the election instead, Ousmane Sonko was the candidate of the major opposition party till he was disqualified by the government. Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele warned him earlier of a technical rig out from the election if he wasn’t careful.

‘’In Senegal, If Sonko isn’t guarded; he will be rigged out of the election. The election will shake the nation of Senegal and will cause Chaos if not well handled. There will be also be Election fraud.’’

Nigerian Prophet, Primate Ayodele Releases 2024 Prophecies For Kenya, Senegal, Cameroun, Others

When Sonko got disqualified, he officially confirmed the selection of Bassirou Diomaye Faye as his replacement for the Presidential election which was earlier schedule for February 25.

Describing Faye as his “little brother” and emphasizing his honesty and brilliance, Sonko entrusts the presidential project into Faye’s capable hands. The decision to name Faye as the substitute candidate comes amidst uncertainties regarding Sonko’s own ability to participate actively in the election.

Faye ran under the slogan “Diomaye mooy Ousmane”, which means “Diomaye is Ousmane” in Wolof, and hoped Sonko’s charisma and popular appeal amongst Senegal’s youth would boost his campaign. Sunday’s result paid off this tactic.

Technically, Faye’s victory as the president-elect is tantamount to Ousmane Sonko’s win by proxy. He basically rented his space to Faye since he wasn’t allowed to contest. The major thing is the ruling party has lost grip of Senegal, just as Primate Ayodele has been saying for two years.

No doubt, the outcome of the presidential election in Senegal has gained more grounds for Primate Ayodele and of course, the people of Senegal will always remember his remarkable prophecies.

The exercise was in fulfilment of the Ibadan tradition upon the nomination of Olakulehin as the Olubadan-designate.

The Mogajis were led by the Aare Egbe Mogaji, Asimiyu Ariori, to the private residence of Oba Olakulehin in the Alalubosa Government Reserved Area, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The PUNCH reports that the Olubadan-In-Council nominated and forwarded the name of Oba Olakulehin to the state government, after an April 16 selection meeting called by the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, at Oja’ba Palace in Ibadan.

The stool became vacant after the demise of Oba Lekan Balogun, who reigned for two years before joining his ancestors at the age of 81 years.

Speaking during their visit to the Olubadan-designate, the Mogajis, speaking through Ariori, pledged their support to the monarch and prayed for sound health and long life during his reign.

The Mogajis also sought the permission of the Olubadan-designate to visit the Otun Balogun, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, in line with the tradition, noting that the same was done to the Otun Olubadan, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, after they visited the 42nd Olubadan, the late Oba Lekan Balogun, upon nomination.

Oba Olakulehin, who in his response, granted their request and appreciated the Mogajis for the visit, prayed that each of them would fulfil their desires on the path to the Olubadan throne.

The younger brother of the monarch, Chief Osuolale Owolabi, thanked the Mogajis for their pledge of support and obeisance to the Olubadan-designate.

The investigative hearing was in line with the resolution of the House during its sitting on March 19 to investigate the remote causes of the incident.

The PUNCH reports that 17 military personnel, including a Lieutenant Colonel, two Majors and a Captain, were ambushed and killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen while they were in Okuama on a peacekeeping mission.

Following the incident, military personnel, in what was considered to be a reprisal, demolished and razed houses in the Okuama riverine community, with residents taking refuge in the neighbouring bushes of Ewu Kingdom.

The House committee members, led by Babajimi Benson, arrived at the sitting venue at the Government House Annex, Edjeba, in Warri South Local Government Area of the state, at about 10.45 a.m. but waited endlessly for indigenes of the troubled Okuama community to make their presentations.

However, while the waiting lasted, sources said the villagers failed to show up for “fear of arrest or intimidation by the military.”

However, the committee chairman, while addressing journalists, said the committee had received useful memoranda on the incident from some stakeholders.

Benson also disabused the minds of Okuama indigenes who might be worried about their safety, assuring them that “there would be no witch-hunt whatsoever.”

He advised members of the public who are willing to submit a memorandum to do so in 10 copies and submit the same to the committee within one week.

He said they could submit such memoranda to the clerk of the committee, Musa Aliyu at the National Assembly, Abuja, or at the public investigative hearing.

He said, “The House of Representatives Committee on Defence looks forward to a robust engagement and meaningful contributions from all stakeholders.

“We came in yesterday (Tuesday). We met Governor Oborevwori and we told him our mission. We’re here today (Wednesday) to see members of the community on camera and by way of memoranda.

“We’ve received a lot of memoranda from them but they’ve not turned out physically. The window is extended for a week. So we’re still expecting a lot more memorandum from the people of Okuama community.

“We’ve assured the governor and the people that we have the full backing of the House of Representatives to ensure that this matter is reviewed from both sides and followed to a logical conclusion.”
