Life is indeed a school, a place of constant learning, where decisions define our future. But the harsh reality is that many of our youth are stuck in a self-imposed cycle of “boi boi” a form of political slavery that has drained their potential and chained them to politicians who care little about their growth. Today, I am speaking from a place of truth, not to please anyone, but to set the record straight. If you choose to remain blind to this reality, then you are only deceiving yourself. I have learned and continue to learn, but I cannot stay silent any longer. The truth may be bitter, but it must be told.
Our youth are wasting away in the service of political masters who neither respect nor appreciate them. The mindset that serving a politician for years will eventually bring you riches or success is deeply flawed. Let’s be real: it doesn’t take three months for someone who genuinely wants to help you-whether in politics or business -to extend a hand. If they haven’t done so by now, it’s unlikely they ever will. You are not stuck where you are unless you choose to be.
Wake Up, Youths, We Are Sleeping!
It’s time we open our eyes to the bigger picture. Politics is not the only way to make a living, yet many of us have made it the only goal. The result? Years spent running errands, attending rallies, and praising people who see no value in us beyond what we can offer during elections. They will use you, drain you, and when they are done, they will toss you aside with a bad name. When you fall out of their favor, you become the villain in their story.
Stop wasting your time! There are countless genuine businesses and opportunities waiting for you without needing capital to get started. All you need is your smartphone and the will to explore and learn. Every day, people are making money legally and with minimal stress, yet many of our youth are still waiting for political crumbs. The sad reality is that you have to beg for the little money they give you, and when they finally give it, it’s often out of pity or obligation when your relative dies, or on your wedding day.
Are you seriously okay with this? Being reduced to a beggar in the eyes of a politician? Is this what your future is worth?
Let’s get one thing straight: politicians do not respect “boi bois.” They see you as nothing more than a tool, an asset to be used when it’s convenient. The moment you stop being useful, you are tossed aside without a second thought. They won’t respect you as long as you are stuck in this cycle of political servitude, waiting for handouts. But when you step out of that shadow, when you build something of your own, they will have no choice but to recognize your value.
Real respect comes when you can stand on your own two feet, when you have something to offer beyond servitude. You need to go out and do something meaningful with your life not just for your political master to respect you, but for yourself.
1. Stop Playing the Victim: You are not trapped unless you decide to be. The power to change your circumstances lies in your hands. Stop waiting for someone to rescue you, rescue yourself.
2. Explore Other Opportunities: There are countless opportunities out there that require nothing but your time and commitment. Use your smartphone, use the internet, use your creativity. Stop limiting yourself to politics.
3. Build Respect through Independence: When you break free from the chains of political slavery and find your own path, you will earn the respect of others. More importantly, you will earn self-respect. You will no longer need to beg for handouts, and you will no longer be seen as expendable.
4. Stop Being a Political Fool: The days of being a political pawn are over. It’s time to stop being a “boi boi,” a political fool who waits on the mercy of politicians. Your time, energy, and potential are far too valuable to be wasted in this way.

The truth is harsh, but it must be said: you are wasting your time. There is no future in “boi boi.” The politicians you serve today will not be there tomorrow, and when they are gone, what will you have left? Nothing but regrets and lost years. So, stop it. Break free from this toxic cycle, and take control of your life. Opportunities are out there, and success is waiting for you but only if you are brave enough to reach for it.

Ajiran Youth Protest Over Deaths of Two Residents, Demand Justice
The Ajiran community of Lagos State erupted in a powerful protest on Tuesday as local youths took to the streets to express their grief and anger over the tragic murders of Prince Ademola Akintoye and Sherrif Agboworin. The demonstration follows the recent decision to reopen the murder case, an investigation that has already led to the arrest of over nine suspects in connection with the heinous crimes committed more than a year ago.
Carrying vibrant banners and poignant posters featuring the faces of the deceased, the protesters marched through the heart of their community while singing somber dirges to honor their memory. With chants of unity and justice ringing in the air, they called on both the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Police Command to ensure that those responsible are swiftly and decisively brought to justice.
The youth leaders emphasized that peace and normalcy will remain elusive in Ajiran until all those complicit in the killings are held accountable. They articulated that true justice is the only way to restore tranquility and honor the lives of Akintoye and Agboworin, whom they described as innocent victims of a grave injustice.
Speaking on behalf of the demonstrators, youth leader Mr. Kehinde Oladele urged law enforcement to conduct a thorough and fair investigation. He asserted that every individual involved including the nine arrested suspects must face the full extent of the law. Especially Hammed Tajudeen, the principal suspect mentioned by others in custody, whom they believe should not escape scrutiny.
“The reopening of this case after more than a year is a critical first step towards achieving justice and fairness for our brothers,” Oladele said. “We urge the police to get to the root of the matter. Those mentioned during the investigation, especially Hammed Tajudeen, should not be spared.”
The atmosphere in the community grew increasingly tense last week following speculation that prominent businessman Aare Bashir Olawale Fakorede was implicated in the unrest. The speculation appeared to stem from his alleged influence on the reopening of the murder investigation. This misunderstanding escalated when a group of protesters targeted his filling station in Ikate, vandalizing his properties and disrupting business operations in the gas station based on the false assumption that Fakorede was behind the police’s renewed inquiries.
In response to the rising tensions and misinformation, Fakorede’s spokesperson, Ola Muhammed, issued a comprehensive statement denying any connection between Fakorede and the unrest. The spokesperson emphasized that rumors suggesting the businessman orchestrated the revival of the murder case were completely unfounded.
“I feel it is crucial to clarify, for the sake of transparency and historical accuracy, that this entire ordeal is in no way related to me,” Fakorede stated. “I am also very interested to see that the culprits are brought to book. I categorically affirm that I have never been involved in any business dealings with Mr. Hammed Tajudeen.”
Fakorede further elaborated that the recent protests which led to the destruction of his property were reportedly instigated by Tajudeen and others who seem determined to manipulate the narrative and cast suspicion upon him. Fakorede expressed his own strong commitment to uncovering the truth surrounding the deaths.
As the police investigation progresses, it has become increasingly apparent that all accusing fingers are pointing to Hammed Tajudeen who is currently evading capture, adding another layer of complexity and urgency to the ongoing situation. Community members have questioned why he remains at large instead of submitting himself to the police for questioning if he is truly innocent of the allegations against him.
Community leaders are now emphasizing the need for dialogue to address the root causes of the unrest and work toward restoring harmony within Ajiran, even as the demand for justice remains at the forefront of public consciousness.
