ALLEGED POLICE STRIKE ACTION: NPF DESCRIBES NEWS AS FAKE, MISCHIEVOUS

As IGP Assures of Reinvigorated Commitment to Effectively Securing Nigeria
The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a news making the rounds on social media alleging that some members of the Force will be embarking on a strike action with effect from March 26, 2022. The Nigeria Police Force wishes to state unequivocally that the alleged publication is fake and a mischievous attempt by unscrupulous individuals to bring the Force to disrepute, misinform the general public and heat up the polity.
ALLEGED POLICE STRIKE ACTION: NPF DESCRIBES NEWS AS FAKE, MISCHIEVOUS
It is pertinent to restate that the Nigeria Police Force is a regimented and disciplined organization with laid down rules and guidelines for addressing grievances and in no circumstance is a strike action one of such means.
The men and women of the Nigeria Police Force are fully aware that a strike action or other deliberate disruption of law enforcement services by any security organization is mutinous and the personnel of the Force would not degenerate at any point to that level of disloyalty and indiscipline, as policing services are paramount and essential in the maintenance of orderliness and peace in the nation.
It is pertinent to emphasize that the IGP is accelerating efforts to ensure the full implementation of the increment of salaries and allowances proposed by the President and approved by the Federal Executive Council. It is important to accentuate that it was the President’s initiative without any demand from the Police to direct the process of increasing salaries and allowances. The Federal Government is therefore fully committed to the implementation of the new salary package.
Since that approval, the Salaries and Wages Commission has issued an implementation circular, the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs and the IGP have been working with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to ensure the stoppage of tax deductions as directed by the President and approved by the Federal Executive Council.
Similarly, the Inspector-General of Police reiterates that police officers under his leadership are well motivated with the ongoing reforms, especially the provision of kits, accoutrements, body armor, the cooperative society’s housing scheme, the renovation of training schools, upgrade of police training curriculum, procurement and deployment of technology to boost ICT-driven policing. The IGP equally assures that the police are committed to discharging their duties to the nation as expected and renew their commitment to ensuring public safety, and the protection of lives and property of all and sundry.

Primate Ayodele Never Said Seyi Makinde Would Become President’’ – Media Aide Clarifies*

*APC Primaries: How Primate Ayodele Foretold Ned Nwoko, Gbenga Daniel’s Loss (VIDEO)

The All Progressive Congress primary election that is currently ongoing has brought about surprises in some states, especially the Senate primary that was held yesterday.

The election, so far, can be described as one that has fallen even the mighty ones. We have seen grown men wailing and lamenting because they couldn’t accept the fact that they lost their bid to return to the national assembly despite their support for the government.

For some people who have been in the party for years, newcomers dislodged them during the election, and they have been crying foul, threatening to start legal actions, and the situation is bad for them because they can’t move to another party anymore.

Among those who were shockingly taken out of the way are Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North and former governor Gbenga Daniel, the senator representing Ogun East senatorial district. Their loss is so humbling that they almost didn’t get any votes in their respective election.

Ned Nwoko lost to the former governor of Delta state, Ifeanyi Okowa, while Gbenga Daniel lost to the incumbent governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun.

However, their losses had been foretold by popular Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, who is renowned for his prophetic insights on issues about politics, governance, education, and nations, to mention but a few.

In different live services, Primate Ayodele had warned both politicians about their ambition, foretelling what would befall them if they went ahead with the primaries.

For Gbenga Daniel, Primate Ayodele stated that a higher authority has taken his right from him, while advising him to forget about the position because they will only mock him. He revealed that the case has already been settled and it’s not in the former governor’s favour. This was months before the primary was held.

These were his words:

“The issue of Dapo and Gbenga Daniel. Gbenga Daniel doesn’t know that his party doesn’t love him. What happened is from the higher authority, and that may be the end of the case, so if Gbenga is struggling, they will just be mocking him.”

As he said, despite the fact that Gbenga Daniel tried his best to see that he gets a return ticket to the senate, he had to step down a few hours before the primary election as the odd wasn’t in his favour.

For Ned Nwoko, Primate Ayodele had stated that the ticket would be given to Okowa even when nobody believed it.

These were his words:

“Okowa and Ned senate ticket; they want to give it to Okowa, so watch , they will fail you Ned.”

As he said, Ned lost woefully in the election while Okowa won him with a margin that can never be closed.

Zamfara State Approves Enhanced Pension Payouts for Retired Public Workers

In a decisive move aimed at alleviating the economic burdens of retired public servants, Zamfara State Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal, has officially approved increased monthly pension payments for all former workers from both state and local government offices. The approval follows an extensive financial review of retirees’ living conditions, with particular attention to those in lower-income brackets who have been disproportionately affected by the prevailing cost-of-living crisis.

The decision was precipitated by the findings and recommendations of a special committee empaneled to evaluate the welfare situation of pensioners across the state. The committee’s report highlighted acute financial distress among aging retirees and called for immediate remedial action. In response, the state government has authorized a substantive upward adjustment in monthly pension stipends.

This increment aligns seamlessly with the Federal Government’s Minimum Wage Act of 2024, which explicitly recommended an additional monthly sum of at least N32,000 for pensioners. Governor Lawal has opted for full implementation of this advisory for all retired state and local government employees a policy intervention expected to benefit thousands of households across Zamfara. The state government has subsequently issued binding directives to all relevant agencies to ensure the expeditious and seamless disbursement of the enhanced payments without procedural delays.

Speaking on the development, the Honorable Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, characterized the policy as a tangible demonstration of Governor Lawal’s unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for both active and former government workers. According to the Commissioner, the administration operates on the principle that dignified retirement includes access to basic necessities and financial comfort. Beneficiaries across all local government areas have been assured of prompt payment once implementation commences.
