COSEG also disclosed that the country is going down the drain and there is need for urgent attention to arrest the drift, this appeal to President Buhari to halt the drift.

According to COSEG “Nigeria is going down the drain and moving towards the brisk as president Muhammadu Buhari is not doing enough to halt or put a permanent solution to the problem being posed by the criminal elements of the Fulani people who are known as herdsmen and have been using their freedom to infringe on other people’s right to live and farm . We wish to state clearly that where someone’s freedom ends, someone’s freedom starts, therefore , their freedom do their business shouldn’t affect others rights to their farms and daily businesses.

Continuing “we are therefore calling on president Buhari to as a matter of urgency liase with the national assembly to promulgate a legislation that will put an end to open grazing in the interest of fairness and equity.

The group also stated that though criminal elements abound in all ethnic groups , and that the people of the south west have continued to condemn the devilish act, as such government at the federal level must do everything humanly possible to ensure that criminal elements who come to rape , kill and destroy in the south west are brought to book by empowering the security agencies to discharge their duties professionally and diligently.

Furthermore, COSEG maintained that Lagos remain the economic hub of the Yorubas , it promise to defend and protect from destroyer and those envious of the progress being recorded in Lagos.

“Lagos is the economic hub and commercial headquarters of the Yorubas and as such, we shall defend it with the last blood in our veins. We shall not allo it to go down again as was methodologically carried out during the last Endsars protest where destruction took place and several billions lost..it is in the light that we warn seriously any element or group planning such should desist. We shall not hesitate to take on or challenge such group or groups . Lagos must grow to its full potential , we must strive to develop it and not destroy it anymore.

The group opined that only a restructured Nigeria will take the country to the eldorado and such insist that the president should liase with the national assembly to as a matter of urgency put in place machineries in motion for the convocation of a sovereign national conference.

Finally, “we hereby call on president Buhari to liase with the national assembly and appropriate authorities to form a perfect synergy and organise a genuine and sincere national conference that will genuinely address the problems bedeviling Nigeria. We believe in Mr President, we believe in his capabilities and sense of leadership, that’s why we are supporting him. We know that there is still ample time to organize this conference that will promote him the more and put him in a special place in the history of leaders that decisively save their countries.

Continuing”we know as we make this passionate appeal to the president, that though some of the ministers in their usual trademarks may want to discourage him , but we call on the vice president, ministers of Yoruba extraction like Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who had a fundamental and deep understanding of restructuring, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, Mr Sunday Dare,, Dr Mamora and the speaker of the house of Representatives to insist on the president and remind him of the reasons why a focused and sincere national conference is unavoidable now”,the group concluded.

Hon. Aina Akinpelu made it known to Ogun West People that he will perform like Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, if the people of Ogun West give him opportunity to serve them as a senator representing Ogun West in 2027 election. Hence tagging his Campaign Slogan as Like *Yayi Like Legacy, Like Yayi Like Legacy*!

Aina said ” we need someone that can work for us like Senator Adeola, if we want his good work to continue in Ogun West”.

That is one of the reasons why I’m contesting for the senatorial seat for our incubent senators good work to continue.

“What I did then as a State Legislator when I served my People at Ado Odo/Ọta 1 Constituency is the example of what I will do if I give opportunity to represent Ogun West at the Federal Level

Honorable Aina says,
Just like Distinguished Senator Adeola Yayi, I facilitated numerous “legacy projects” across my Constituency. I also personally funded people-oriented projects aimed at improving the daily lives of my people.

These visible achievements, delivered during my time as Member Ogun State House of Assembly from 2011–2019, are still standing strong across Ota State Constituency 1 till today.

As a grassroots politician who understands how to attract development and influence decisions in favour of his people, I’m fully prepared to take that same quality representation to Ogun West Senatorial District.

As progressive APC members in Ogun West, the time has come to rally behind a candidate who can sustain the standard and performance Distinguished Senator Adeola Yayi has brought to our district. Which is me, says – *Hon. Aina Akinpelu.*
