The Spiritual Head of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Most Reverend Samuel Abidoye, in what seemed like a prophesy, said President Muhammadu Buhari will surprise Nigerians with his incredible performance in 2016.
The spiritual head, speaking in Galilee land along Ogbomosho-Ilorin expressway on Thursday ‎while declaring open the 75th Annual Conference of the church, urged Nigerians to be patient with the president as he needs to clear the rot from previous administration before he can bring about the desired change he promised.
According to him, “Nigerians should expect incredibly good performance from President Buhari in 2016.
“People will be surprised by the progress he will make so; Nigerians should be very patient with him now. People should always remember that he had been there before so, he knows what to do at the right time to make the desired change he promised,” the cleric added.
“The past administrations which ‎hurried in their governments, we knew where they left us so this time around, I plead with Nigerians to be very patient with Buhari. He will need to clear these mess before he can do anything tangible; he has not spent up to a year so we should be patient and stop criticising him,” Abidoye added.
On the issue of insurgency, the cleric said Nigeria can only be saved by divine intervention.
He said Nigeria is still standing strong because the people have not stopped praying and it was the prayer that has kept the nation.
He therefore, called on all Nigerians, religious leaders and groups to come together and hold special prayers for peace to return to the country.
Meanwhile, it will be recalled that some weeks back, the general superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, had commended the president for his fight against corruption.
He said, “I am a layman when it comes to politics. But from what we can see, I believe that the president is in the right direction and if we support him with our comments and in other ways, I believe that we will see corruption brought down very quickly.”
