Recall that the parents of the deceased have accused the school of negligence as they continued questioning what happened to their daughter.

The family alleged that the school made no provision for emergency response at the event, hence their daughter was allegedly not administered with first aid at the scene of the incident.

Dr Micheal Adeyemi Adeniran, the father of the girl emphatically said that his girl had no pre-existing heart condition despite the doctor’s allusion to a cardiac arrest.

He called on all well meaning Nigerians to come to her aide.

“I got the biggest shock of my life on Thursday February 16, about 1pm in the afternoon when my wife called that she was informed that our daughter slumped at the inter house sport and she was rushed to the clinic.

“My wife was at the venue even before the event started, she was never informed or called upon untill they had conveyed our child out of the venue before they informed her.

“On the arrival of my wife at the health center where they took my daughter to, my daughter was lying dead with her lips black and her tongue black.

“My wife called me urgently, I left my office to the place and found my 12year old daughter lying dead,I asked on what happened to my daughter and the school authority could not provide information as to what happened to my child in their care.

“I gave Chrisland school a healthy vibrant young girl but what Chrisland returned to me was a dead child.

“My entire family is in deep sorrow but the school authority claimed they know nothing about my daughter’s death and all they knew was that my daughter slumped and died.

Earlier, the management of Chrisland School, in a statement on the incident, claimed Whitney had reported “not-too-buoyant” health on January 20, contrary to claims by her parents.

The school said it opted to take her to a health centre, and not a hospital, based on proximity considerations.

Chrisland dismissed insinuations that there was foul play in the death case while citing that she slumped in public.

“Our immediate response was to take advantage of proximity by identifying the nearest medical facility to take her to, where the doctor on duty administered oxygen and every aid possible to her,” the school claimed.

Let’s reflect as we wrap-up 2024″By Prudent Ludidi

As we stand here today, we are on the threshold of a new year. A year full of possibilities, opportunities, and promise. But before we step into the unknown, let’s take a moment to reflect on 2024.

Let's reflect as we wrap-up 2024"By Prudent Ludidi

Look back on the triumphs and the struggles. The moments that made you proud and the moments that made you question yourself. Think about the goals you set and the ones you achieved.

Reflection is not about dwelling on the past; it’s about learning from it. It’s about identifying what worked and what didn’t. What you can improve on and what you can let go of.

As you reflect on the past year, remember that you are not the same person you were these couple of months ago. You’ve grown, you’ve learned, and you’ve evolved.

Don’t be too hard on yourself about the mistakes you made or the opportunities you missed. Instead, focus on the progress you’ve made and the strength you’ve gained.

Now, as we wrap up this year and prepare for the next, ask yourself:

What do I want to achieve in the coming year?

What habits do I want to form?

What relationships do I want to nurture?

What skills do I want to develop?

What dreams do I want to chase?

The upcoming year is a blank canvas, waiting for you to paint your masterpiece. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back. You have the power to create the life you want.

So, as we near the close of this chapter and begin a new one, remember that every ending marks a new beginning. Every setback is an opportunity for growth. And every success is a stepping stone to greater things.
