Duchess of Music, Esther Igbekele Is Taking Her Sound Worldwide — Here’s How She’s Turning 2025 into a Year of International Breakthroughs!
It’s been a year of open doors and global recognition for gospel sensation Esther Igbekele! From sold-out concerts in the U.S. to spirit-filled ministrations in Europe, the anointed singer has been on a mission to spread her music and ministry far and wide — and 2025 has clearly been her year of divine success.
After years of consistency and hard work, Esther’s brand has reached new heights. Her international movement to promote her music has seen her ministering across borders, touching hearts, and winning souls with her powerful voice and inspiring lyrics.
In September, she kicked off her U.S. tour, performing in Baltimore, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. Fans described each concert as a life-changing experience filled with worship, joy, and God’s presence. Although the tour was initially planned to start earlier, some of her shows were rescheduled for 2026 — when she’ll be headlining a mega concert and a church anniversary celebration in the States.
Right after her U.S. engagements, Esther jetted off to Italy to join the Celestial Church of Christ, Ileri Oluwa Parish, Brescia, for their 30th Adult Harvest celebration. Her ministration at the event left worshippers in awe as she filled the atmosphere with praise and thanksgiving.
Still in October, she graced the stage at the London Praise 2025 Concert held at the GAUMONT Palace, U.K., where she performed alongside other gospel greats. It was another moment of glory for the ever-vibrant minister, who continues to fly the Nigerian gospel flag high on international stages.
And she’s not done yet! As the year draws to a close, Esther Igbekele is gearing up for another tour in the U.K. and Nigeria, making sure her music continues to reach both global and local audiences.
From city to city and nation to nation, Esther Igbekele remains unstoppable — a living proof that with passion, grace, and divine favor, the gospel sound can truly travel the world. Popularly known as “Duchess of music”, Esther Igbekele is one of Nigeria’s most celebrated gospel music ministers, with a career spanning over two decades. She is widely admired for her energetic stage presence, rich vocals, and spirit-lifting Yoruba gospel tunes that blend traditional sounds with contemporary rhythm.
Born with a deep passion for music and ministry, Esther began her journey in the church choir before professionally venturing into gospel music. Over the years, she has released several hit albums and singles that have become household anthems among gospel lovers in Nigeria and beyond.
Through her ministry, Esther has touched countless lives, performing at crusades, concerts, church programs, and international gospel events across Africa, Europe, and North America. Her mission remains clear — to use her gift as a tool for evangelism, spreading the message of hope, love, and salvation through music.
Today, Esther Igbekele continues to be a shining example of grace, consistency, and divine calling — a true ambassador of gospel music on the global stage.

NNPP Shockwave: Southwest PRO Kilamuwaye Badmus Quits Party
In a development that has sent ripples across the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), the party’s Southwest Zonal National Public Relations Officer, Hon. Comr. Kilamuwaye Badmus Oladayo — popularly known as BAKO — has officially resigned from his position and the party.
Badmus, in two separate letters addressed to the Ward 3 Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, and the National Chairman of NNPP, tendered his resignation on October 29, 2025, citing personal reasons for his decision.
“I, Hon. Comr. Kilamuwaye Badmus Oladayo aka BAKO, hereby formally tender my resignation as a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party in Ward 3 of Abeokuta South Constituency 1 area of Ogun State and at the same time as the Party’s Southwest PRO,” he wrote.
The Abeokuta-born politician, who has been an active and vocal representative of the NNPP in the Southwest, expressed appreciation to God and to members of the party for the opportunity to serve.
“I am very grateful to Almighty God and to all the Southwest states of the New Nigeria People’s Party, especially the Ogun State NNPP, for giving me the opportunity to serve at the zonal national level of the party,” he stated.
Badmus, known for his grassroots mobilization and media engagements within the NNPP structure, described his resignation as a ‘purely personal decision,’ adding that his time in the party afforded him the platform to demonstrate his ‘political dexterity and sagacity.’
While he did not disclose his next political move, sources close to the former NNPP spokesman hinted that he may be taking time to reassess his political direction before making any future declarations.
Hon. Kilamuwaye Badmus Oladayo, a seasoned political communicator and activist, played significant roles in advancing NNPP’s visibility across the Southwest geopolitical zone. He was instrumental in coordinating several public engagements that enhanced the party’s image during the last election cycle.
His political style, often described as dynamic and strategic, earned him recognition from key stakeholders, including Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, who had publicly commended Badmus in previous events for his “unrelenting energy in mobilizing the youth and defending the party’s ideals.”
His resignation letters were copied to top NNPP leaders, including His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, His Excellency, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf (Governor of Kano State), and His Excellency, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the 2023 NNPP governorship candidate in Ogun State.
Political observers in Ogun and across the Southwest have begun to speculate on the implications of his exit, given his influence among NNPP youth structures and his visible role during the 2023 general elections.
Party insiders, however, described the move as “unexpected but respected,” with one official stating that Badmus’ resignation “marks the end of an era of vibrant publicity and passionate advocacy for the party in the region.

MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR NEW RIGASA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AS AFAKA COMMITTEE SUBMITS 318,600 SIGNATURE PETITION
MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR NEW RIGASA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AS AFAKA COMMITTEE SUBMITS 318,600 SIGNATURE PETITION
In a significant step towards the creation of a new Local Government Area, the Afaka Ward Technical Working Committee for the proposed Rigasa Local Government has formally handed over data containing 318,600 signatures of supporters to the Central Working Committee (CWC).
The handover ceremony, which took place at the Skill Acquisition Centre in Mando Sabon Garin Afaka, was witnessed by a broad coalition of Afaka ward stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, and youth representatives.
The Chairman of the Technical Committee, Tasiu Musa, while presenting the data, clarified that the 318,600 figure represents a significant portion of public support but is not the ward’s total population. He stated that the enumeration was halted due to constraints of time and finances needed to support supervisors and enumerators. He expressed profound gratitude to the Central Working Committee for its financial backing, which made the extensive data collection possible.
In his address, the Chairman of the Central Working Committee, Alhaji Muazu Abubakar Mohamed Ruma (Tafidan Afaka), commended the technical working Committee for its diligence in achieving the milestone. He then issued a strong appeal to the National Assembly and the Executive arm of the government, urging them to prioritize the creation of the Rigasa Local Government with its Headquarters in Sabon Garin Afaka.
“With this overwhelming number, it is clear that the people have spoken. The combined population of just Rigasa and Afaka is over five million,” Alhaji Ruma noted. “The creation of this Local Government should be a priority for all arms of government to bring governance closer to the people.”
The event featured addresses from prominent religious leaders who unanimously threw their weight behind the movement and praised the efforts of both committees.
Malam Bashir Adam Saleh Algoni, the Deputy Imam of Zangon Daura Jumma’at Mosque in Mando Sabon Garin Afaka, applauded the initiative and the meticulous work of the committees. He offered prayers for the success of the proposal and for divine guidance for the government in considering the request.
Similarly, Sheik Muhammadu Salisu Musa Sudais, the Chief Imam of Sudais Jumma’at Mosque and Hayin Idi Musa Jumma’at Mosque in Mando, described the movement as a righteous struggle for development. He commended the Central and Technical Working Committees for a job well done and prayed for unity and progress.
In a show of cross faith solidarity, Reverend Job David Abubakar, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Airport Afaka, also expressed full support. He joined his voice in appreciating the committees for their dedication and service to the community. Reverend Abubakar further offered prayers, asking for divine intervention so that “those who are going against this movement may come back to their senses and join hands to move Afaka ward forward for the collective good.”
This submission from Afaka Ward follows the earlier completion and submission of data from the Rigasa ward, consolidating the widespread demand for the new local government creation. The movement now awaits the consideration of the state and national assemblies.
