Season greetings to all sons and daughters of Eruku city worldwide and their well Wishers.
The greetings comes from NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ERUKU STUDENTS WORLDWIDE (NAES) NAES started in 1953 with Chief MB Omotinugbon as the pioneering President however the idea of developing the tourist potentials around Eruku city started in 2001 when Mr Kehinde Ayodele Clifford was the President.
Word are inadequate to thank God who brings our dream of developing Tourism to fruition. Our prayer also goes to NAES well Wishers who donated generously towards building our secretariat where tourism will be propagated in the center of Eruku city at Oke-murun murun. This is very different from the city hall.
The two TOURIST center are
1. Oke-murun murun in the city
2. Ilado Hill along Eruku Koro road.

SELF HELP IS BEST HELP
1. Our parents did a lot to develop Eruku city by opening primary and secondary schools and by donating land for the establishment of a seminary, all these have increased the population of Eruku city there by boosting the Economy drastically.
2. The land is made available to farmers mostly for non native and satellite village are springing up around the city. Come to Owode market to see how Eruku city enjoy economic boom.
3. WORD CUP : This is a religious competition which brings tourist to Eruku at list twice a year, it has economic impact as well.
4. Annual CAN revival even though for religious purpose it drew many people to the economy of Eruku city.
5. TOURISM: The Oxford English dictionary defined TOURISM as “The commercial organization of holidays and service for tourists. ” This has been our aim and target for the past eighteen years.
CHRISTMAS DAY: it will be officially declared open on 25th December 2018 it is for everybody. The children will stay and enjoy themselves in the city. There will be small games for young ones and elderly people. The Youth will go out to Ilado hill to see where our forefathers lived thousands of years ago during the stone age. They will enter the cave and inspect the stone mill. The sign post is properly placed along Eruku Koro road.
We are sure that the increased population will boost our economy.
EXAMPLES: In Nigeria were Abeokuta and Ogun State enjoying income from the well developed OLUMO ROCK.
2. Idanre town and Ondo State enjoy much income from the well developed Idanre Hill.
3. Patigi town and Kwara State enjoy much income from Patigi Regatta.
4. Ilorin Town and Kwara State enjoy traditional horses’ parade around the town.

OUTSIDE NIGERIA
Isreal, Rome, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, to mention a few enjoy unbelievable income from Tourism.
SIDE SHOW: NAES will like to honor and decorate past leaders and members who indicate interest this bear on Christmas day. The event which will take place by 4pm by the special grace of God. This event will be a continuous exercise. Those who will not be available for the honor this year will receive their honor subsequent year.

*APC Ethiope West Congress Turns Violent: Ibori’s Daughter Escapes Assassination Attempt; Scores Injured

 

The APC Ethiope West Local Government Area Congress took a terrible turn today as scores were attacked by gun-wielding thugs allegedly hired by old PDP members that moved to APC. The congress was relocated from its original venue the Oghara Township Stadium to a new venue,Ovade, in the LGA seemingly to disenfranchise original APC members.

Violence erupted when the Member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency Rt Hon Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu daughter of the the former Governor of Delta H.E Chief James Onanefe Ibori arrived at the new venue in Ovade. Apart from clear threats to her life by thugs sponsored by the Governor of Delta State, Rt Sheriff Oborevwori and former Rep member Hon Ben Igbakpa. Her supporters were attacked with dangerous weapons, as she was denied entrance to the venue. There were several attempts on her life which were foiled by her security details. There had been intels that she would have been shot if she had stepped foots on the venue this is terrible at a time when there had been hopes of peace coming into the party with the recent meeting at Asaba , however this recent happening shows peace is still far away .

Hon Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu has appealed for calm among APC supporters and old members amidst the unprovoked attack. Several injured individuals are receiving treatment at undisclosed hospitals.

There are still reports of targeted attacks on on members of the Old APC , calls have been made to security operatives to avert such attempts.

NCAT Delegation Tours Gusau International Airport, Commends Governor Lawal, Eyes Strategic Partnership for Aviation Training

 

In a move signaling a major push for inter-agency cooperation within Nigeria’s aviation sector, a high-level delegation from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has undertaken an official working visit to Gusau International Airport currently under construction by the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal. The visit, aimed at a comprehensive assessment of the facility’s infrastructure and operational capabilities, is seen as a foundational step toward forging a strategic partnership to bolster aviation training and safety standards across the region.

The NCAT team, led by Nasir Muhammad Bungura, conducted an extensive tour of the airport premises. They were received and accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Zamfara State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Haruna Dikko Gusau, underscoring the state government’s keen interest in maximizing the airport’s potential.

During the meticulous inspection, the delegation evaluated the airport’s runway, terminal buildings, navigational aids, and safety apparatus. Following the tour, Mr. Bungura commended Governor Lawal for a job well done as he expressed profound satisfaction with the state of the facility, describing the infrastructure, operational protocols, and visible ongoing upgrade projects as both encouraging and highly promising.

“The standards we have observed here today are commendable and align strongly with international best practices,” Bungura stated. “Gusau International Airport possesses a robust foundation. Our visit was to assess how this facility can serve as a practical hub for our training programs, offering our students real-world exposure to a modern, functioning airport environment.”

The delegation highlighted the airport’s latent potential to serve as a critical node for specialized aviation training, particularly in areas of safety operations, air traffic control simulations, and aircraft handling. Such collaboration, they noted, would not only enhance the practical skills of NCAT cadets but also contribute to elevating the overall safety and efficiency metrics of Nigeria’s air transport system.

Engr. Haruna Dikko Gusau welcomed the NCAT delegation’s interest, reiterating the Zamfara State government under Governor Dauda Lawal is committed to developing the airport as a catalyst for economic growth and regional integration. “This visit is a testament to the growing strategic importance of Gusau International Airport,” Engr. Gusau remarked. “We are not just building infrastructure; we are creating a hub for opportunity. Partnering with a prestigious institution like NCAT will ensure this facility contributes meaningfully to human capital development and the advancement of Nigeria’s aviation industry.”

The visit marks a significant milestone for Gusau International Airport, transitioning its role from a regional transit point to a potential center of excellence for aviation education and a key partner in national aviation development. Both parties are expected to hold further discussions to formalize areas of collaboration, which could pave the way for NCAT to utilize the airport for specialized training exercises and curriculum development in the near future.
