EXPOSED HOW PASTOR AYO ORITSEJAFOR’S WORTH ROSE TO N150 BILLION IN FOUR YEARS
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is arguably one of the richest clergy in Nigeria. Sahara weekly’s check revealed that his worth has risen to an estimated N130 billion in cash and in kind.
Aside owing a 35,000 seater auditorium, a private jet, micro finance, a guest house and a university which is under construction, Papa Ayo’s wealth has increased tremendously since assumption of the exalted position as President of the Christian Association of Nigeria. We gathered that he allegedly owns an oil bloc and his honorarium, tithe and offering package has swollen up at an accelerated rate.
According to our source, one of privileges he enjoyed under President Jonathan’s tenure was an oil bloc. It was alleged that as CAN president, especially during the first election that ushered in president, one of the secret pact with the President was ownership of an oil bloc and approval of his University project. And this we learnt made the amiable clergy richer by miles.
Furthermore, we gathered that as CAN chairman, his honorarium, gifts in cash and kinds, offering and tithes rose by 100 percentage. In fact, due to the respect they accorded him and the office he represents, most politicians turned to him for spiritual support and in turn blessed him with enough largesse.
“Indeed his six story multi million naira guest house known as Eagle Nest Guest house became a Mecca of sort for dignitaries home and away who paid him courtesy visits for supports. And wealth exchanged hands”
It was reported that from a humble beginning of a classroom to a warehouse, he has grown his ministry, Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, Delta State, to an ultra modern 35,000 seater church auditorium which is one of the largest in the world. This structure can also seat 17,000 children and a conference center sitting over 5,000 people. This indeed is one of the biggest church buildings in the world because it has actually sat over a 100,000 people during their crusades.
The multi-billion empire is worth about N10 Billion with all the ultramodern equipment therein.
In view of the apostolic call upon Papa Ayo and his position as CAN president, his ministry acts as a covering to several ministries in Africa, Europe and America. Thus, he is one of the most sought after ministers in Nigeria across the globe for preaching and other ministerial engagements.
He is adjudged one of the highest paid pastors. He is usually paid honorarium by his hosts. The renowned evangelist who has spent over 40 years in ministry and is also the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria pockets as much as N600 million annually from honorarium. Due to the high demand for him, Papa Ayo described himself as a very ‘busy man’ and that the power of God in him and his miraculous exploits at crusades abroad have earned him recognition worldwide.
To prove that fame and wealth follows him everywhere, he was quoted to have said, “There is an island called Polo Rud in the USA. Whenever I go there, they receive me like a president. They have a governor in the Island and he attends ‘all my services’. People respect Nigeria because of some of us who preach the gospel”.
As a keynote speaker, he has ministered in crusades of well over two million people. He ministers in international and local conferences and seminars which have taken him to well over 100 countries and every continent of the world. That partly informed the acquisition of a Bombardier Jet gift he got while celebrating his 40th anniversary in the ministry. The jet was presented to him at the church headquarters in Warri on the occasion of his 40th year of ministration.
The 10-seater Bombadier Challenger jet, marked N431CB, is an updated version of 194 series, and it is now worth over N8 billion.
The aircraft which has a range of 3,900 nautical miles, is also said to have a full enclosed lavatory and a flight attendant for additional comfort.
The luxury and spacious cabin of the Challenger 601 is perfect to conduct meetings or simply relax. With this gift, the charismatic pastor has joined the league of men of God who have acquired private jets.
Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor was surely in a joyous mood last year when he officially laid the foundation of his multi-billion naira private university project called Eagle Heights University. Checks revealed that the project was launched on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Omadino in Warri, Delta state. The university which will gulp over N3 billion was commissioned by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The university sits on over 20 acres of land and will include faculty buildings, lecture theatres, hostels, halls, admin buildings, sports centre, amongst others. We reliably gathered that fund is not an issue for the project as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) president and founder of Word of Life Bible Church, Pastor Oritsejafor is blessed with the capital through his partners, connections and ministries.
Papa Ayo has several millionaires under his mentor-ship, both within his ministry and outside; at least, among the one million worshipers under his ministries directly and indirectly. About 10,000 of them are millionaires and very few billionaires. If 10,000 of them pay a tithe of N100,000 monthly, that will amount to N1bllion monthly and about N12billion annually. And when 100,000 of his worshipers pay an offerings of N1,000 weekly during service, that will be an average of N100 million monthly and N1.2 billion annually. That’s aside an estimated N10 billion he picks as donations annually.
In 1980, he started the regular and popular television programme tagged, Hour of Deliverance, and its aired in many local and international television and satellite stations. He was the first to launch a miracle crusade (Lagos Miracle Crusade) from Africa to the whole world via satellite in 1987 with Evangelist Joe Martins.
Consequently, he acquired his own satellite television called African Broadcasting Network (ABN). The station has a viewing audience of over 60 million in Europe and Africa.
According to the church’s spokesman, “Through these television programmes, we reach out to millions of people weekly with the undiluted word of God”.
The running cost, we gathered, was N20 million monthly which is about N240 million annually.
As a prolific writer and speaker, he has authored several books and tapes periodically which are always in high demand. He rakes in several millions monthly via this.
To prove that he is highly blessed, he established Eagle Flight Micro finance Bank Limited. His wife, Helen, runs the multi-million naira project.

From Drill to Deen: Central Cee’s Conversion and the Power of Faith in Modern Hip-Hop
From Drill to Deen: Central Cee’s Conversion and the Power of Faith in Modern Hip-Hop
By George Omagbemi Sylvester
“The British rap star’s public declaration of Islam sparks global reactions and renews debate about spirituality, identity, and influence in contemporary music.”
British rap superstar Central Cee has publicly announced that he has converted to Islam, a revelation that has rapidly spread across global media and social platforms, drawing reactions from fans, cultural commentators and religious observers alike. The development marks a deeply personal shift for one of the most influential voices in modern UK drill, and it highlights the growing intersection between faith, identity and popular culture.
Central Cee, whose real name is Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, disclosed the decision during a recent livestream, where he stated that he had taken the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith that formally marks a person’s conversion to Islam.
According to multiple reports published on February 6, 2026, the rapper confirmed the conversion publicly, saying he had changed his name and embraced Islam, with friends present during the broadcast congratulating him.
The announcement quickly became a trending global topic, with thousands of fans flooding social media with messages of support and congratulation.
What happened, when, where and how
The confirmed facts are straightforward.
What happened: Central Cee announced his conversion to Islam.
Who: The British rapper, born Oakley Neil Caesar-Su.
When: The announcement surfaced publicly on or around February 6, 2026.
Where: The declaration was made during a livestream, widely circulated online.
How: He confirmed he had taken the Shahada and embraced Islam, with friends present during the session.
Before this announcement, Central Cee had never publicly declared adherence to any specific religion, though fans had long speculated about his spiritual leanings.
Background: the rise of a global rap force
Born on June 4, 1998, in London, Central Cee rose from the streets of Shepherd’s Bush to become one of the most commercially successful British rappers of his generation.
He achieved mainstream recognition with his 2020 single Day in the Life and later dominated charts with hits such as Doja and Sprinter, accumulating billions of streams worldwide.
By the mid-2020s, he had become a defining figure in UK drill, blending street narratives with a polished, globally accessible sound.
Reactions and significance
The news of his conversion triggered widespread reaction across continents. Many fans congratulated him, using phrases such as “Welcome to Islam, brother,” reflecting the celebratory tone among supporters.
Others expressed curiosity about whether the decision would influence his music, public image, or future lyrical direction.
Cultural analysts note that religion has long played a quiet but significant role in hip-hop. From Malcolm X’s influence on American rap consciousness to the presence of Muslim artists in both US and UK scenes, faith has often shaped artistic identity.
British sociologist Dr. Reza Pankhurst, writing on religion and youth culture, has argued that for many urban artists, faith offers “a language of discipline, moral structure and belonging in environments often defined by instability.”
Similarly, American scholar Dr. Sherman Jackson has noted that Islam’s appeal among musicians and athletes lies partly in its “emphasis on personal responsibility, spiritual dignity, and community.”
While these are broader observations about religious influence in culture, they help explain why high-profile conversions often resonate far beyond the personal sphere.
Why the announcement matters
Central Cee is not merely another celebrity; he is one of the most commercially powerful voices in British rap, with global reach across Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. His decisions, therefore, carry symbolic weight.
When artists of such stature publicly embrace a faith, it often triggers three parallel conversations:
First, identity: Fans begin to examine how the artist’s beliefs align with their lyrics and public persona.
Second, influence: Younger audiences may view the decision as aspirational or spiritually significant.
Third, authenticity: Critics and supporters alike debate whether faith will reshape the artist’s artistic content.
British cultural commentator Kehinde Andrews has previously observed that hip-hop is “not just music but a social language through which young people negotiate power, race, faith and identity.”
In that sense, Central Cee’s announcement becomes part of a larger cultural dialogue not merely a personal declaration.
The question of a new name
Some reports indicate that the rapper mentioned changing his name after taking the Shahada, though details remain inconsistent across sources.
While certain online reports suggested possible new names, there is no universally confirmed official new name from the artist at the time of reporting.
This remains an evolving aspect of the story, and responsible reporting requires caution until a formal statement is released through verified channels.
The broader context: faith and hip-hop
Central Cee joins a growing list of artists who have publicly embraced Islam. Over the decades, figures such as Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Lupe Fiasco, Ice Cube, and Q-Tip have either converted to Islam or drawn heavily from Islamic teachings in their music.
In the UK, Muslim identity has long been intertwined with the grime and drill scenes, reflecting the multicultural realities of cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Cultural historian Tricia Rose, one of the foremost scholars of hip-hop, once wrote that the genre “has always been a site of spiritual searching, moral struggle and social commentary.”
In that context, a public conversion is not an anomaly but part of a longstanding tradition of artists seeking meaning beyond fame and commercial success.
What remains unclear
Despite the viral spread of the story, certain details are still evolving:
The exact location of the livestream has not been formally confirmed.
The identity of the individuals present during the Shahada has not been publicly verified.
Any official legal name change has not been documented in confirmed public records.
Responsible journalism requires distinguishing between verified facts and social-media speculation.
Final assessment
Central Cee’s conversion to Islam is a deeply personal decision that has nonetheless sparked global conversation. Announced during a livestream in early February 2026, the declaration places one of Britain’s most influential rappers at the centre of a broader discussion about faith, culture and celebrity influence.
In an era where artists are often defined solely by streaming numbers and chart positions, his announcement underscores a different narrative: the search for meaning, identity, and spiritual grounding in the midst of global fame.
As the late scholar James Cone once wrote, “Spiritual transformation is the most radical form of social change, because it begins inside the human soul.”
Whether Central Cee’s journey will reshape his music or remain a private source of guidance is a question only time can answer. What is certain, however, is that his decision has already stirred conversations that extend far beyond the world of rap.
