Group Demands Qualified Indigenous Representative At The State Assembly In Ogun

An indigenous group, TIWANTIWA, has kicked against foreigners representating the good people of Obafemi-Owode at the state house of assembly.

It could be recalled that most of their representative after Rt Hon Samson Tunji Egbetokun, the former speaker of Ogun State house of assembly has been people claiming indigeneship of Obafemi-Owode which at the end of the day result to low performance from people’s expectations from them.

The group made this known to newsmen today, in Abeokuta while Hon Bisi Oyemade, the Coordinator talked bitterly on the foreigner taking charge of what belongs to the indigenous sons and daughters of Obafemi-Owode local government, which he described as negligence on the part of the sons and daughters of the soil.

However, he called on the true sons and daughters of Obafemi-Owode local government to engage themselves in active politics to enable them project the image of the constituency as well as represent the good people normally because they know what the constituency needed at a particular time.

“We want to charge the true sons and daughters of Obafemi-Owode local government to engage themselves in active and viable politics to ensure quality representation, enough of all these foreigners coming on board when election draws nearer to take advantage of our slots at the state house of assemblies in the state” Oyemade said.
He categorically stated that the group is an independent organization composed of eminent sons and daughters with main focus on ensuring that true sons and daughters represent them at the state house of Assembly.
In nostalgic manner, he recounted the good old days when the likes of Hon. Dele Erisan and Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun represented, boasting no one has been able to surpass their legacies.
They used the opportunity to call on apex leaders, to heed to this clarion call and ensure that the ugly trend is reversed.
The group appreciated the efforts of apex leaders in the recent appointments by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun mfr.
Also, he congratulated the chairman of All Progressive Congress APC in Ogun State, Chief Yemi Sanusi for a successful inauguration despite all odds.

He commended the infrastructure projects of Prince Dapo Abiodun mfr across the state, assuring the governor of maximum support during his electioneering campaign for second term.
