Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha calls back 3,000 sacked workers

The Imo State government, following a protest that was carried out by the NLC and workers have agreed to call back 3,000 sacked workers in the state
This protest led to total shutdown of the state as All activities at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri and other government offices under the NLC were shutdown to effect it.
The state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha announced the recall of the workers on Wednesday in the heat of a protest by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.
NLC members from the 36 states of the federation led by the National President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba on Wednesday converged on Owerri, the state capital, to hold a protest against the Concession Policy of the state government and force the state to reverse the suspension of the affected workers.
But consequent upon a meeting held between the State government and the State Executive of the NLC at the office of the Secretary to the Imo State Government, it was agreed that the suspension of the workers would be reversed.
