As Nollywood’s original lover-man, Jim Iyke, plans to finally quit bachelorhood, he has decided to share love around before the D-day.
Jim who’s getting married to the daughter of delectable Nollywood actress, Stella Damascus, later next month will be in some selected states, cities and locations in Nigeria over the next few weeks to meet his fans and share love.
This will be happening as the official release date of extraordinaire movie ‘Lovebirds’ gathers massive momentum.
The movie which cinema pundits have tagged to be the next great love story to happen after ‘Titanic’ will be hitting the cinemas nationwide on Friday April 13, 2018 after series of premieres across the nation.
There will be special screening at the University of Benin, Filmone cinema at Ugbowor, Benin City and a premiere at Kada cinema in Benin on April 6, 2018.
There will also be premieres in Asaba, Owerri, Akure, Ibadan and Lagos where Jim Iyke will be meeting his fans, sharing love and gifts this Easter period.
Lagos private screening will be on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at Filmhouse, Surulere, by 10 am.
‘Lovebird’ a one location film with about 6 characters and one voice over, is bringing to the scene again the original all time Nollywood’s bad boy, Jim Iyke and unraveling delectable actress Stella Damasus again after a long break so also handsome Joseph Benjamin in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
An online campaign for viewers between the ages of 18-30 years will be launched for ‘Lovebird’ All you have to do is, do a short instagram video with hashtag #Lovebirdthemovie and narrated (to what extent have you gone for love). There’s a hot gossip in town involving an alleged secret romance between star Fuji musician, Abass Akande Obesere and UK based popular talkshow host, Oluyinka Ayanda a.k.a. Yinka TNT.
According to insiders, friends of Obesere are worried about the potential consequences of the alleged secret affair for his marriage; the associated scandal, heartbreak and the impact on his reputation as his wife was already in the know and reportedly spoiling for a showdown.
Sources said the clandestine nature of the saga makes it difficult to know how long their affair has been going on and how often the lovebirds meet or interact.
Speaking on the rumour, an ally of Yinka who didn’t want to be named for confidential reasons, said “it is not impossible”, adding that though it wasn’t a public topic yet.
“A single lady romancing a married man is part of socializing, especially if both of them have always known and supportive of each other,” the source quipped.
Yinka is a single, career woman with kids while Obesere is married. Thus, a close relationship between such high-profile celebrities who interestingly are also showbiz aficionados, is bound to attract intense media attention and public speculation.
Calls made to both Yinka and Obesere to confirm the authenticity of this information went unanswered while text messages sent to their known mobile telephone numbers were not replied as at press time.
