Joshua on verge of breaking Fury record

Published

on

Anthony Joshua is on track to break Tyson Fury’s British attendance record with his upcoming world title fight against Daniel Dubois.

Joshua will challenge Dubois for the IBF belt on September 21 at Wembley Stadium, with promoters expecting over 100,000 fans to attend.

Fury set the British attendance record in April 2023 when 94,000 spectators packed into Wembley to see him knock out Dillian Whyte. Promoter Frank Warren, speaking on talkSPORT, expressed confidence that the upcoming bout will surpass that figure.

“Oh, it’s massive. I mean, we will be applying to increase the capacity like we did last time when Tyson Fury fought against Dillian Whyte. And I think we’ve got it, I think we will probably break that record. So, it’s really looking good,” he said.

Joshua, 34, is no stranger to huge sell-out stadium shows, having drawn over 90,000 fans at Wembley in 2017 when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko. He has also attracted 75,000 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and another 62,000 at Tottenham’s football ground.

However, his last two bouts took place in Saudi Arabia, where he secured knockout wins over Otto Wallin and ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

Warren acknowledged the challenge Joshua posed but remained optimistic about Dubois’ chances.

“A lot of people are making Joshua a favourite, and they’re saying AJ is a big puncher and so forth and I hope he comes out and comes to fight because if he lets those big punches go I know that will leave him exposed. If Daniel clips him, it will knock him out. I think Daniel is the bigger puncher,” Warren said.

“I genuinely think that Daniel can win this, he’s a young man, he’s fought better opposition in his last three fights than AJ has. And by the way, AJ has looked good in his last few fights but not against as good opposition as what Daniel has been in with.”

YouTube Takes Down Omoni Oboli’s Movie After 7 Million Views, Fans React in Outrage

The internet has been set ablaze after YouTube took down Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli’s latest movie, Love in Every Word, which had amassed a staggering 7 million views in just four days. The sudden removal of the highly acclaimed film has sparked widespread reactions from fans, with many expressing frustration and confusion over the development.

The film, which features notable actors such as Bambam (wife of Teddy A) and Uzor Arukwe, had received massive accolades across social media before its unexpected disappearance. According to reports, the movie was flagged by a YouTube user named “Chinonso Obiora Skyberry,” who claimed copyright ownership of the content.

Fans in Shock as Movie Disappears

As news of the takedown spread, many fans took to social media to vent their frustrations, questioning why the movie was no longer available on YouTube.

One fan, @Ebukaobrota, wrote: “@omonioboli please ma’am why can’t I find the movie again on YouTube?”

Another, @NellyB, lamented: “I was watching it just a few minutes ago, and suddenly it wasn’t there. I hope YouTube didn’t bring down this beautiful movie @Omonioboli after attaining those views in just how many days?”

@Solomonitegboje confirmed the removal, stating: “The movie has been removed from YouTube.”

Similarly, @Otoyoessisi voiced concern over a copyright claim notification: “Why is the link saying the video is no longer available due to a copyright infringement report? I didn’t finish watching it yesterday only to see this now. What is going on?”

@Ahmedzeal added: “Your movie is no longer available on your YouTube channel.”

Copyright Controversy Looms

The claim by Chinonso Obiora Skyberry has raised questions about the legitimacy of the copyright dispute and whether it was a deliberate attack on the filmmaker’s success.

While Omoni Oboli is yet to make an official statement, industry insiders speculate that the takedown could be the result of either a misunderstanding, a legal dispute over content rights, or malicious copyright trolling—where individuals falsely claim ownership to disrupt the success of a project.

YouTube’s strict policies on copyright infringement allow anyone to file a claim, which can lead to the immediate removal of content. However, filmmakers have the right to challenge such claims through YouTube’s dispute resolution process.

What’s Next for Love in Every Word?

With the overwhelming success the film had already achieved within days of release, fans are now eagerly waiting to see if Omoni Oboli will fight back and restore the movie on YouTube. If the copyright claim is proven false, the film could be reinstated, but the process could take days or even weeks.

As the controversy unfolds, fans continue to rally behind the actress, urging YouTube to reconsider and restore the movie to its rightful place.

Coalition Commends Buratai for seeking establishment School Safety Task Force

The Coalition of Civil Society Groups against Terrorism in Nigeria has applauded the former Chief of Army Staff, Ambassador, (Lieutenant-General Rtd) Tukur Buratai on his call for the establishment of school safety task force in the country for the development of education.

Coalition Commends Buratai for seeking establishment School Safety Task Force

Buratai had said that the task force would provide tailored security solutions to schools in high-risk areas across the country.

The Coalition, in a statement by its Convener, Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi and Secretary, Hon. John Atani, said Buratai understands that establishing the task force will help in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

It noted that the growing number of out-of-school children in Nigeria, especially in the North, would be addressed with the school safety task force.
The Coalition said: “Buartai has once again demonstrated his expertise and concern in addressing insurgency, banditry and out-of-school children in the country.

“The recent report by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) that 60 per cent of the 10 million out-of-school children are girls should worry any Nigerian that believes in the leaders of tomorrow.

“Establishing the school safety task force can provide tailored security solutions to high risk areas. Education is a fundamental human right and a critical driver of national development, and if we fail to protect it, we jeopardise the future of our nation.

“However, if we rise to this challenge through innovation, collaboration and unwavering commitment, we can ensure that every Nigerian child has access to safe, equitable, and quality education.”
The Coalition also commended Buratai’s recent interview on Arise Television, saying that the General has addressed the allegations of misappropriations of public funds under his watch.

According to the Coalition, the army recorded unprecedented, outstanding, monumental and incontestable achievements, including counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism, banditry and other sundry crimes, as well as human capital and structural development across the nation under Buratai.

“There was no single fund given to Buratai directly that he used apart from the budgetary processes, and all those budgetary releases were properly accounted for. The records are there in the procurement system of the Nigerian Army.

The Coalition in the statement once again appreciated Ambassador Buratai for his loyalty and selfless services to our nation and humanity. The Coalition also call on our media institutions to always interogate various allegations against distinguished Nigerians who have served the nation meritorioisly. Fact should be established before such news are aired.

The Bigger Picture: Damage Control or a Genuine Mistake?

Regina Daniels has always maintained a lavish lifestyle, often showcasing high-end fashion and luxury accessories on social media. However, this incident has cast doubt on her credibility, with many questioning whether she intentionally bought a counterfeit item or if she was unknowingly deceived.

Meanwhile, her husband, Ned Nwoko, has remained silent on the matter, further fueling speculations about possible unrest in their marriage. Could this be an orchestrated distraction from personal issues, or is Regina genuinely a victim of a bad purchase?

For now, the Nollywood star’s swift deletion of her response post only raises more questions than answers, leaving fans and critics eagerly watching her next move. One thing is clear—this controversy isn’t dying down anytime soon.
