OUR SUCCESS STORY IN BRIEF

In the last two years, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation has empowered Thousands of Vulnerable, Widows, Widowers, Artisans and Technicians with Equipment and disbursed Grants to Small and Medium Business Owners to promote the development of Local Economy, Self-reliance and Prosperity for all.

In its Periodic Economic Empowerment cum Social Intervention Programme, Free Food Items and Cash Gifts had been given to Widows and Widowers in Lagos.

As part of its core objectives, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation has organised Free Summer Coaching and Carrier Talks for Primary and Secondary School Students. The Participating Students were trained in Skills Acquisition such as Computer-Digital Literacy, Tailoring and Fashion Designing, Catering and Baking, Cosmetology, Musicology, Soap and Disinfectants Production.

It has also Presented Scholarships to Indigent Students and distributed Learning Materials worth millions of Naira.

Free One Hundred JAMB/UTME Forms were gifted to Students to encourage those seeking admissions into Tertiary Institutions and lessen financial burdens on Parents and Guardians.

The Foundation places priority on Formal and Informal Education.

To cushion the resultant effects of the Prevailing economic hardship and Fuel Subsidy Removal in the country, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation distributed Free Assorted Food Items to the Vulnerable on Lagos Island Local Government and its adjoining communities.

The Physically-Challenged were not left out as they received relief items from the foundation during a visit by the Officials led by its Executive Director, Prince Taiwo Oyekan.

Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation has Constructed Borehole Water Systems in Lagos Communities to curb supply shortage and meet daily need.

It has embarked on Environmental Sanitation Exercise to ensure a Healthier and habitable Community.

In one of its Medical Outreach Programmes, A One-Day Seminar was organised for Hundreds of Youhts in Lagos to teach Personal Hygiene and Community health.

To promote Grassroot Sports Development and Talent Hunting, the NGO organised Football Match Competition for the Youths.

In one of his inspiring speeches, the Leader of Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm and Executive Director of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation, Prince Taiwo Oyekan reiterated his commitment to People-centric Programmes and Community-Social Intervention.

Prince Oyekan further vowed to rekindle Hope of the Vulnerable and make the World a Better Place.

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) has been recognised on the global stage as a recipient of the prestigious WFA President’s Award, presented by the World Federation of Advertisers during its Global Marketer Week in Stockholm. The recognition places ADVAN among a select group of leading industry associations worldwide acknowledged for driving meaningful impact in marketing and society.

 

The WFA President’s Awards, established in 2010, celebrate national industry associations whose initiatives advance the marketer’s agenda and contribute to positive change. This year’s honours were awarded following a rigorous selection process involving 38 submissions from associations across the WFA’s global network, with winners chosen for their measurable impact and potential for replication across markets.
