Ministerial List: Buhari Has Nothing To Offer Nigeria – Labour Party Chairman

Published

The ministerial nominees sent to the Senate by Presendent Buhari for screening, shows that the president has nothing to ofer Nigerians, says Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, National Chairman of Labour Party.
According to him, Nigerian youths who voted en-mass for him have been shortchanged from the list
“For us in Labour Party, we do not see anything that resembles change as far as the ministerial team is concerned.
Imagine bringing someone who served in the government of the late Sarduana of Sokoto to serve as minister in 2015. Buhari has nothing to offer Nigeria.
There is no promise of change at all. All these people are analogue persons who cannot bring about any change under the current dispensation.
It is also very unfortunate that Nigerian youth who make up the greater percentage of our population and who voted for Buhari massively were not given their due share in the ministerial nomination,” he decried.

Lagos Deserves Me As Governor In 2027 – Prophet Ikuru

Published

on

Founder of the Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, while reiterating his bid to succeed Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State governor come 2027, has unequivocally that the state deserves no other person to occupy the Round House, Alausa, but him.

Prophet Ikuru expressed the belief that his deep understanding of the state’s complexities coupled with his extensive grassroots engagements among the residents of the state uniquely qualified him to seek the exalted seat.

Prophet Ikuru well known for his prophesies and philanthropy, it is on record that he accurately predicted the historic victory of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 elections, and his spiritual insights also supported the elections of several governors like Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, Lagos, Imo, Edo, and Delta States.

The prophet said veering off his known terrains of philanthropy and prophecy to contest for the exalted seat of Lagos State governor should not be surprise, because his over 27 years of living in the nation’s commercial capital has well positioned him to the job.

Prophet Ikuru, if elected as governor, promised to run on a platform of inclusivity, transparency, and development if finally elected as next governor of the state.

Prophet Ikuru noted that his philanthropic efforts had earned him widespread respect as he had consistently provided support to vulnerable communities, empowered youths and championed causes aimed at improving lives across the state.

According to the man of God, his accurate predictions and endorsements inspired him to take a more active role in governance, saying it was not enough to foresee and support the right leaders alone, adding that now is the time for him to step forward and offer himself for service as Lagos State governor.

He said Lagos State deserves a leader with a heart for the people, a vision for progress and the courage to make difficult decisions, all of which he promised to deliver as governor, noting that his proposed policies would be focused on addressing key challenges such as traffic congestion, housing deficits, youth unemployment, and healthcare.

He equally emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between the government and the people to foster trust and collaboration.

“It’s not enough to foresee and support the right leaders. Now, I believe it’s time for me to step forward and offer myself for service. Lagos State deserves a leader with a heart for the people, a vision for progress, and the courage to make difficult decisions. By God’s grace, I am ready to take on this responsibility,” he promised.

Delivering a lecture to participants of Course 33 at the National Defence College (NDC) in Abuja on Thursday, 23 January 2025, the Customs boss stressed the importance of synergy and mutual understanding among security agencies in tackling illicit trade and ensuring economic security.

“No single agency can effectively combat the complexities of smuggling without the support and cooperation of others,” Adeniyi said. “Collaborating with other security agencies is essential for effective anti-smuggling operations. It is only through synergy that we can reduce these illegal activities to the barest minimum and foster economic growth in Nigeria.”

The lecture, held at the NDC Auditorium, provided a platform for the Comptroller-General to discuss strategies for addressing smuggling and its economic implications. The National Defence College, Nigeria’s premier institution for military and strategic studies, brings together participants from various sectors, including the armed forces, paramilitary organizations, and the civil service.

Adeniyi’s presentation highlighted the need for a collective approach to safeguard the nation’s economic interests and underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.
