Ministry Of Tourism, Arts & Culture Endorsed ‘Go Culture Festival 2021’ Will Promote Arts and add value to National Development – Idris Iwalewa Coker
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Carnivals and Cultural Pride Limited, Idris Iwalewa Coker, has said ‘Go Culture Festival 2021’ will engage, promote and support communities to participate in arts, and partake in preservating their cultural heritage.
Idris Iwalewa Coker, convener of Go Culture Festival, (an annual entertainment and cultural festival) who spoke ahead of the 6th edition, said the company plans to open up new markets and opportunities in the creative industry, birth new ideas and foster new cultural relationships.
He said: “It is a cross-cultural event where Nigerian cultures, as well as others beyond the shores of the continent will converge for a week-long blistering cultural fiesta.”
Mr Idowu Johnson the director of Creative Art Department, Lagos Ministry of Tourism Art and Culture also made a statement about Go Culture Festival and officially endorse the initiative. He said the Festival promises to be more colourful this year.
Lined up with exciting cultural display, indigenous parade, Art and craft, Dance drama, Art Exhibition and many more. The event will also be in collaboration with relevant cultural agencies like; National Council for Art and Culture (NCAC), National Art Gallery (NGA) and National Institute For Cultural Orientations (NICO), Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) and Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC)
The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Unleashing African Potential – Own Your Culture’, has been rebranded to reflect the current cultural diversity of the Nigerian culture, and to establish a revival of its fading cultural heritage, which is expected to have ripple effects across the continent.”
The festival will be concluded on the 4th of April 2021.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I want to talk about something that can be difficult to accept, those who wronged you may never say “I’m sorry.”
We’ve all been hurt by someone at some point in our lives. And often, we hold onto that hurt, and hope in waiting for the person who wronged us to acknowledge their mistake and apologize.
But the truth is, that apology may never come.
It’s hard to accept because we feel like we deserve closure. We deserve to hear that the person who hurt us regrets their actions.
But closure is not something someone else gives you. Closure is something you give yourself.
You have the power to choose:
Choose to heal, even if they never acknowledge their wrongdoing
Choose to move forward, even if they never make amends
Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting what happened. Forgiveness means releasing the hold that person has on you.
Forgiveness means taking back control of your life.
You don’t need someone else’s apology to move on. You don’t need someone else’s validation to heal.
You are strong enough to do it on your own.
And when you do, you’ll find peace. You’ll find freedom.
Remember, holding onto anger and resentment only hurts you. It doesn’t change the past.
But forgiveness can change your future.
So, don’t wait for someone else to say “I’m sorry.” Say it to yourself: “I’m sorry that happened to me, but I’m moving forward.”
Say it loud and clear: “I deserve to heal. I deserve to be happy.”
Take back your power. Take back your life.
Move forward with courage and faith.
