Imo visit: Araraume hails Tinubu’s transformative agenda
A senior chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ifeanyi Araraume,
has warmly welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Imo State as the President commence official visit on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
In a press statement, Senator Araraume commended the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, praising it as a transformative framework that is positively reshaping Nigeria’s development.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to national progress through his Renewed Hope Agenda,” Araraume stated.
“The reforms he has initiated are repositioning our country for sustainable growth and stability.”
Senator Araraume highlighted key policy achievements that are already yielding results, including:
Economic Revitalization: The unification of exchange rates to stabilize the financial system and the implementation of new tax reforms to streamline the fiscal framework and expand the national revenue base.
· Grassroots Empowerment: The direct funding of local governments from the federation account, a landmark move for decentralized development.
· Social Investment: The launch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to promote access to higher education, alongside strengthened social intervention programs and expanded youth initiatives.
While noting that some councils are still adapting to the new autonomy, Araraume emphasized that President Tinubu’s action, anchored on a sound legal framework, will earn him historic recognition as a leader who prioritized economic inclusion and grassroots governance.
He expressed his confidence that the visit would deepen the President’s connection with Imo’s grassroots communities while heralding a new era of developments and opportunities for the South East.

Somtochukwu Maduagwu: How Primate Ayodele Warned Against Death Of Journalists In April (VIDEO)
Somtochukwu Maduagwu: How Primate Ayodele Warned Against Death Of Journalists In April (VIDEO)
If there is any prophet that reveals God’s mind towards media houses and journalists, it would Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.
Through his prophecies, Primate Ayodele has warned several media houses and journalists about what they should pray about, even though he is also consistently praying for them.
His prophecies regarding media houses are borne out of his love for the profession and especially because of the country we are in, where journalists are not well appreciated. This is the reason he has also taken it upon himself to always celebrate journalists and media houses.
Annually, Primate Ayodele gives out nothing less than six cars to journalists and supports nothing less than 25 journalists with empowerments in six figures, both openly and privately.
In one of his several prophecies to media houses and journalists captured in a video, Primate Ayodele warned against the death of a popular newscaster in Nigeria. He urged media entrepreneurs and journalists to pray against the unfortunate incident that he foresees.
He specifically mentioned TV journalists as the recipients of his prophecy while asking them to pray for God’s protection.
In his words:
“TV presenters, news casters, TV broadcasters, pray for your lives, for God’s protection and pray for your family. God bless”

Sadly, it seems this prophetic warning has come to pass with the sad death of Arise TV’s news presenter, Somtochukwu Maduagwu.
In a statement obtained from Arise TV’s X handle on Monday, the 29-year-old broadcaster, affectionately known as Sommie, was a respected news anchor, reporter, and producer who had become a familiar and trusted face to viewers across the country.
The statement read, “It is with heavy hearts that the management and staff of the ARISE News Channel announce the passing of our beloved colleague, News Anchor, Reporter, and Producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu. Sommie tragically passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, following an armed robbery incident in her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja that is being investigated by the Nigeria Police.
“Sommie, 29, was not only a cherished member of the ARISE News family but also a vibrant voice that engaged and connected with our viewers.
“Beyond the airwaves, Sommie was a lawyer who was a professional and supportive colleague and a friend to many.”
