On Friday the 30th of June 2023, at the Ogunmodede High School, Papa Epe, The Group Managing Director of Adron Homes and Properties, Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, who represented His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State as Chairman of the annual Ojude-Oba Epe cultural festival admonished Epe indigenes on the prospects of Epe becoming a Metropolitan city years to come.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Prince of Epe who hails from the Oba Atoyegbe ruling house made this revelation while speaking on behalf of Governor Sanwo-Olu at the event where he laid more emphasis on the need for more development and investment opportunities within Epe Town which will make it a more viable investment hub for investors which would transit the town from a rural area to an urbanized metropolis in a decade time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Aare Adetola, who is also the Onile Aje of Epe while addressing indigenes on behalf of Governor Sanwoolu disclosed the need for more people to leverage on the current economic boom and massive infrastructural development ongoing in Epe town projecting the town will witness more unprecedented development owing to its proximity and closeness to Ibeju-Lekki and the newly opened Dangote Petrochemicals and Refinery, Lekki Free Trade Zone, 4th Mainland bridge and the projected Airport. The Real Estate magnate also said anyone who secures investment in that axis would get a massive Return on Investment in no time as Epe will soon transform into a full metropolitan city with numerous amenities.

 

 

 

 

“Epe will be a metropolis in less than Ten years. Our people should begin to see themselves at an advantage because of the strategic investment sited within our domain and the recent boom in real estate investment as many people are relocating to Epe because of its proximity to other states. We should also begin to open our arms and be accommodating to more investors, investment and foreign nationals from all over the world because we have vast virgin land and we are also surrounded by water. We should all come together to ensure our town transforms in no time to a cosmopolitan metropolis that will be an investment hub to prospective investors and also put our town on the map.”

 

 

 

 

 

The Adron home boss who is also a prominent investor in the real estate sector highlighted the need for Epe indigents to embrace peace and unity to ensure they maximize all benefits. After admonishing the giant strides of Epe indigenes for coming home to celebrate with their monarch by paying homage and displaying the rich culture and traditions of the Epe people via a grand display of regal outfits and other ornamental paraphernalia he also advised the host of the event; His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe to try and unite all Epe indigenes because the success of any community is the strength in unity. “The growth of Epe is in the hands of our father, the Oloja of Epe and the responsibility is on him to ensure all hands are on deck to open Epe to more investment opportunities and also using his native intelligence to promote the ease of doing business. When investors are comfortable in their host domains and their investment guaranteed with internal security by the indigenes they will bring more investment that will benefit all sundry and there would be jobs created and more opportunity for Epe to grow beyond imagination.”

 

 

 

 

Aare Adetola also concurrently visited the Awujale of Ijebu land in celebration of the Ojude-Oba Ijebu-ode and Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo on the commemoration of the Ojude-Oba Ijebu-Igbo.

Sahara Weekly Unveils That The Foremost entrepreneur and President of the Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the positive impact of the naira for crude swap deal on the Nigerian economy, which has led to reduction in prices of petroleum products in the country.

To provide succour to Nigerians, Dangote recently reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N970 to N899.50 at its Refinery loading gantry and provided generous credit terms to marketers.

 

 

“To ensure that this price reduction gets to the end consumer, we have signed a partnership with MRS to sell petrol from its retail outlets nationwide at N935 per litre” he added. This price has already commenced in Lagos, and it will be offered nationwide from Monday.

 

 

In his statement, he called on other oil marketers such as the NNPC Retail and all other marketers, “to work with us to ensure that Nigerians enjoy high-quality petrol at discounted prices.”

 

 

According to him, “The Dangote Refinery is for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians. We will therefore continue to work with various value chain players to deliver high quality petrol at cheaper prices. Our aim is for all Nigerians to have ready access to high quality petroleum products that are good for their vehicles, good for their health, and good for their pockets.

 

 

Recall that in September, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) under the leadership of Mr. President approved the sale of crude to local refineries in Naira and corresponding purchase of petroleum products in Naira. The move, which commenced on October 1, led to reduced pressure on the dollar and ensured the stability of the local currency.

 

 

Dangote thanked Nigerians for their unwavering support and the government for creating an enabling environment for the domestic refining industry.

NNPC Debunks Shutdown Rumors, Confirms Port Harcourt Refinery Fully Operational

 

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has dismissed reports circulating in certain media outlets claiming that the Old Port Harcourt Refinery, which was re-streamed two months ago, has been shut down.

In a statement released by Olufemi O. Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, the company clarified that the refinery is fully operational. The statement noted that the facility’s operational status was recently verified by former Group Managing Directors of NNPC during a site inspection.

“Preparation for the day’s loading operation is currently ongoing,” the statement confirmed, emphasizing that allegations of the refinery’s shutdown are baseless and intended to create panic or artificial scarcity in the fuel market.

NNPC Ltd urged members of the public to disregard such misleading reports, labeling them as the work of those seeking to exploit Nigerians.

The Old Port Harcourt Refinery has been in operation since its re-streaming, and the company remains committed to ensuring stability in the supply of petroleum products across the country.

Nigerian Banks Donate Multimillion Naira Relief Materials to Jigawa Flood Victims

In a show of solidarity, the Committee of Banks in Nigeria has extended a helping hand to victims of the September 2024 floods in Jigawa State. On Thursday, a high-profile delegation led by Dr. Oliver Alawuba, Chairman of the Committee and Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), visited Dutse, the state capital, to present relief materials to the state government.
The donated items, worth several million Naira, included essential food supplies such as rice and cooking oil, along with mattresses and beverages. Dr. Alawuba highlighted that the gesture aimed to alleviate the hardship faced by flood victims and support critical institutions, especially public hospitals, in their efforts to assist those affected.
