Organisation encourages Christians to embrace politics

Published

By Ifeoma Ikem

As part of the strategic meeting on Christians involvement in politics, denominational bodies were recently conveyed at Caritas Event Centre, Ikorodu Lagos to look at the problems they face and proffer solution and way forward.

The programme was designed to educate and sensitize Christians about their roles in politics across the nations.

It was organised through the Apostolic Round Table (ART) in conjunction Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN), Lagos east.

The chairman of the event, Chaplain Victor Kene Okafor, called on Christian bodies to see themselves as one in Christendom to arise and occupy.

Okafor noted that Christians should listen to the clarion call of the church as a body of Christ irrespective of their denomination, adding `we are one body and also do not allow what American church is experiencing today to happen in Nigerian.

He said the meeting was a continuation of their drive to seek the protection of Christian interests in Nigeria political space.

“Now is the time for the church to reflect deeply about her ways,’’ Okafor reiterated.

According to him, when the Lord said we should occupy until He returns, why have we become beggars politically in our own country?

“If politics is the game of numbers, doesn’t the church have the number? When God said that His people perish due to lack of knowledge and that is the reality today.

“Why is the church being beaten black and blue on all sides? No wonder Jesus said that the children of this world are wiser than the generation of the children of the light.

The convener, Dr Bolaji Akinyemi described the exercise as a wake up for Christians to ensure things are done properly, we need to put ourselves together with one voice.

Akinyemi pointed out that what happened in Edo state during the governorship election was that all the bodies of Christ spoke with one voice to choose a candidate and they achieved their aim.

He stressed that there is need for the Cama law to be amended and the issue of restructuring is also important and not a problem to the nation.

“I will advise Christians as a body of Christ to stand up and do the right thing and take their place, already we have leaders in the church to set up structures on how to operate on political space.

Mr Abayomi Agbede- Daniel, the national conference director, said that Apostolic Round Table was lunched to help the church know their potential, not only knowing their potential but to implore politics.

According to the director, church should key in irrespective of denominations, come together as one and take advantage of their potential.

“I will use this medium to admonish politicians to ensure they do what they were elected to do.

“Governance is quite expensive to run; we should begin to deplore resources into human capital, giving quality education and healthcare with basic infrastructure to the masses.

Sup. Evang. Dr Emmanuel Adegoke, in his message to Christians urged all denominations to see themselves as one body of Christ.

He noted that Churches in Nigeria have a major challenge of denomination which has caused more harms to Christianity.

He said that Christ told Christians to occupy until He comes.

“To preach his gospel across and occupy, we must start speaking with one voice and leave a legacy,’’ he said.

In his remarks, Commander Peter Olabode, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Ikorodu province, said part of the issues Christians face is that they do not live by example.

“I will advise the church as a body of Christ to leave a legacy, keep the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ no matter the denomination you belong to, but the most important is to show love.

Apostle Moses Olugbaro of the Liberation Bible Church Ikorodu said Christians have great opportunities they embrace love, start doing the right things as our father did when He was on earth, things will be alright.

While urging churches to sustain the good work of Christ, he added that every other religious bodies will have confident in Christianity

How to Generate the Power of God / Generating the Power of God

Sermon Highlights

We live in a world ruled by different levels and types of power. However, among all powers—whether from the waters, the marine world, the marketplace world, the grave, or the elemental forces—the Power of God stands supreme and unmatched.

In this present generation, the power of man is not enough to survive. This is a generation of warfare, a generation where unseen forces seek dominance, and many mistakenly think they can live casually, without spiritual power.

The truth is:

In a world full of spiritual battles, you either become a slave or an overcomer. You are either a prey or a predator.

A powerless life is not a life worth living.

The Power of God is awesome, absolute, and incomparable. Yet, the power of God does not come overnight. It is a gradual, deliberate process.

If you seek quick and cheap power, you are not seeking the true power of God. Divine power must be sought, grown, nurtured, and matured until it becomes mighty within you.

How to Receive the Power of God

There are eight key ways to generate the Power of God:

1. Through the Name of Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:10–11)

The Name of Jesus carries unstoppable power. At the mention of His Name, every knee must bow—whether in heaven, on earth, or under the earth.

2. Through the Blood of Jesus

(Revelation 10:11)

The Blood of Jesus gives you power for cleansing and victory. It purges you from sin and builds a spiritual wall of fire around your life.

3. Through the Word of God

The Word of God is a two-edged sword.

When you quote the Word with authority, demons tremble and bow. Saturating yourself with Scripture makes you spiritually untouchable.

4. Through Fasting and Prayer

Fasting breaks your flesh and humbles your body, opening the gateway for divine power.

– Jesus fasted for 40 days before launching into mighty miracles.

– Daniel fasted for 21 days and received divine revelations and revival fire.

5. Through Evangelism (Romans 1:16, 1 Corinthians 1:18)

Evangelism releases God’s power. When you preach the Gospel, you unleash the power of salvation and open doors for miracles.

6. Through a Life of Holiness

Holiness invites the power of God automatically. Living a pure, righteous life makes you a carrier of divine power without necessarily asking for it.

7. Through the Power of Resurrection (Philippians 3:10)

Knowing Christ brings you into the experience of resurrection power—overcoming sin, death, and every limitation.

8. Through the Power of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8)

The Holy Spirit empowers you for exploits. With the Holy Ghost, what seems humanly impossible becomes supernaturally possible.

Declarations

Lift your voice and declare with fire:

Fire!

I need fire!

I receive fire!

I have fire!

Fire Prayers

Pray these prophetic prayers with holy aggression:

1. Fire of God, come upon me!

2. Shout “Holy Ghost Fire!” seven times.

Heaven’s Script Unfolds: Prophet Kingsley Aitafo’s 2025 Prophecy on Pope Francis Fulfilled

Heaven’s Script Unfolds: Prophet Kingsley Aitafo’s 2025 Prophecy on Pope Francis Fulfilled

The world mourns Pope Francis, while a prophetic message echoes with divine accuracy.

Vatican City | April 21, 2025 — In a moment that has shaken the global Catholic community and resonated through spiritual circles worldwide, Pope Francis passed away peacefully on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88, in his Vatican residence at Casa Santa Marta.

At 9:45 AM, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Apostolic Chamber, made the somber announcement from the Holy See:

“Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis… At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father…”

But even amid the mourning, another narrative is making headlines — that of divine foresight.

Earlier this year, Nigerian cleric, Prophet Kingsley Aitafo, released a chilling prophecy regarding a “major exit in the Vatican,” naming Pope Francis as the focus of his revelation. Delivered in a January 2025 broadcast, the prophetic message warned of an impending transition in the Catholic Church’s highest office, citing spiritual visions of the Pontiff’s declining health and heavenly summons.

Today, that prophecy has come to pass.

A Voice Crying in the Spiritual Wilderness

Prophet Kingsley Aitafo, known for his bold prophetic utterances and spiritual insights, stated in his January message:

“Pray for the Vatican. I see a great change coming. The one seated shall be taken, and it shall mark a new chapter for the Church.”

While many took the message with caution, some believers rallied in prayer. As the months unfolded, Pope Francis’ health took a notable decline. He was admitted to Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic Hospital on February 14, 2025, for complications from bronchitis. Doctors later diagnosed him with bilateral pneumonia on February 18.

Despite returning to Casa Santa Marta after 38 days of hospitalization to continue recovery, the Holy Father never regained full strength.

The End of an Era

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, led the Catholic Church with humility, inclusiveness, and fervent compassion, championing the rights of the poor and marginalized. His papacy was marked by simplicity, progressive reforms, and a call to return to the Gospel’s core values.

As millions grieve, many within the prophetic community are pointing to Aitafo’s message as a profound sign of divine communication and the importance of spiritual sensitivity in turbulent times.

A Call to Spiritual Reflection

Prophet Kingsley, in a statement released hours after the Pope’s death, expressed his condolences while reaffirming the spiritual significance of the moment:

“This was not a wish — it was a word from the Spirit. Let the world understand: when God speaks, it is not to scare, but to prepare. Let us pray for the Church and its future.”

As the Vatican begins its formal mourning and preparations for the conclave, many eyes are now turned toward the heavens — and toward those anointed to see what lies ahead.,
