Sahara Weekly Reports That The annual event titled “Greater Than the Pool of Bethesda,” organized by Kings in Christ Power Ministry, has once again left attendees in awe, with a powerful display of miracles and testimonies. Hosted by the church’s General Overseer, Bishop Dr. Anthony Chidi, the event drew a large crowd to the ministry’s location in Ago, Lagos. Known for its spiritual depth and physical outreach, this year’s edition was no exception, as both spiritual and physical needs were addressed.

During a media chat with journalists, Bishop Chidi reflected on the journey of the event, sharing its roots and significance. “This vision has been with us for many years,” he said. “In the early days, we used to hold this program at the National Stadium in Lagos, but as time passed, we brought it here to Ago due to the high cost of renting the stadium. Now, there are protocols involved, but I was praying one day, and the Lord spoke to me, saying, ‘I am greater than the pool, and there is no protocol with me.’ From that moment, I knew this program was destined to be a seasonal event, with the pool coming to the people, not the people going to the pool.”

Bishop Chidi further explained how the mission began during his time in Aba, Abia State, and how it has since expanded. The essence of the event, he noted, is to allow God’s presence and power to manifest without limitations. “What we witnessed today was great, but next year will be even more powerful,” he confidently declared.

Beyond spiritual revival, the event also served as a platform to reach out to the community with much-needed physical sustenance. Acknowledging the challenges faced by many Nigerians, Bishop Chidi Anthony emphasized the importance of addressing both spiritual and physical hunger. “There is hunger in the land, and as a pastor, I know what I see. People come here with both physical and financial problems, and as a church, we do what we can to intervene. Some of my spiritual sons and members contribute, and it’s become a tradition for the church to share palliatives at least once a month,” he said.

What makes Kings in Christ Power Ministry’s outreach particularly unique is its inclusiveness. “We provide palliatives to everyone in need, regardless of religious affiliation—Christians, Muslims, even pagans. We reach out to everyone,” Bishop Chidi explained. He credited his background for this generosity, noting that he learned the importance of giving from both his biological and spiritual parents. “When others are happy, you are successful. The people we help in one way or another matter to me.”

This year’s event featured prominent guest ministers, including Rev. Chidi Okoroafor, Chinedu Nwankwo, and Bishop Praise Machine, among others. Their powerful ministrations added to the spiritual richness of the event, which concluded with an atmosphere of praise and expectation for future miracles. Bishop Chidi expressed his gratitude for how smoothly the event unfolded, stating, “We thank God for His grace. All glory goes to Him, and we are grateful that everything went smoothly!”

Dr. N.C. Michael, a guest speaker at the event, also shared his thoughts on the significance of “Greater Than the Pool of Bethesda.” “It’s an annual program that has consistently touched lives,” he said. “People who attend this program never go home empty-handed. Bishop Chidi Anthony has made many sacrifices for this church, and we are expecting even more testimonies and miracles. We foresee a massive influx of people who will become part of this ministry as Christ continues to work through it.”

In a comment from Bishop Praise Machine, he said it’s one of the programs of its kind. “I have been attending Greater Than The Pool Of Bethsaida for years, it’s always a program like no other, miracles, signs and wonders, breakthroughs everywhere. Bishop Chidi Anthony is one man of God who has a heart of gold, a giver to the core.

As the event drew to a close, there was an undeniable sense that this was just the beginning of even greater things to come. With testimonies already flowing and expectations high for future breakthroughs, “Greater Than the Pool of Bethesda” has solidified its place as one of the most impactful spiritual events in the region. The Kings in Christ Power Ministry looks forward to next year’s edition, where even more lives will be transformed.

Pastor Adebisi Rotimi Williams Condemns Public Dispute Between Dr. Abel Damina and Dr. Paul Enenche

Sahara Weekly Reports That The Nigerian Pentecostal community is witnessing a growing rift between two high-profile clergymen, Dr. Abel Damina and Dr. Paul Enenche, over theological differences, particularly concerning tithing and miraculous healing. This dispute has drawn attention from many within the Christian faith, including Pastor Adebisi Rotimi Williams, founder of Victorious Life Word Outreach Inc, who recently voiced his concerns.

In a recent media interview, Pastor Williams criticized the public nature of the conflict between Damina and Enenche, describing it as “a travesty” and arguing that such issues should be handled privately among church leaders. “There is no reason for them to descend to this level,” he stated. “In this Gen Z generation, we must recognize that these issues are fundamentally spiritual, representing a clash between good and evil forces.”

Pastor Williams specifically called out Dr. Damina’s approach, describing it as harmful to the unity of the Christian community. He suggested that seasoned Christian leaders should engage in consultations to mediate and resolve such disputes. “The Bible advises not to respond to a mad man,” Williams remarked, implying that Dr. Damina’s methods are inappropriate. “If Damina seeks to correct perceived errors within the body of Christ, his approach is fundamentally wrong.”

Highlighting the potential damage caused by public disputes of this nature, Pastor Williams warned that such conflicts could alienate believers and drive them away from the church, potentially toward other religions or even idol worship. “The manner in which these issues are being handled could push people away from Christ,” he added. “It is the approach that is wrong, and it is crucial for Dr. Damina to reconsider and change his methods.”

Williams also touched upon a personal aspect of the disagreement, noting that the root of the conflict may lie in Dr. Enenche’s refusal to acknowledge Dr. Damina as his spiritual father. “There is nothing wrong with Enenche’s decision; it is a matter of personal choice,” Williams explained. “A son chooses his spiritual father, and Pastor Enenche has clearly stated that he does not consider himself part of Damina’s ministry.”

He emphasized that membership in a board of trustees does not equate to spiritual kinship, and for Dr. Damina to see himself as Enenche’s spiritual father, Enenche must first accept that role. “They should stop dragging and bringing themselves down like children; this is uncalled for,” Williams concluded.

The dispute between Dr. Damina and Dr. Enenche underscores deeper theological divisions within the Nigerian Pentecostal community, posing a challenge to the unity and cohesion of the Christian faith in the country. Pastor Williams’ call for restraint and resolution serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining unity in the face of differing beliefs.
