The economic situation of Nigeria keeps on getting worse by the day since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the number one citizen of the country.

Primate Ayodele’s Prophecy Fulfilled As Dollar Surpasses N1700

We can agree that the current economic situation was expected because Nigerians were warned by Primate Elijah Ayodele severally. Before the presidential election, Primate Ayodele was seen as Tinubu’s enemy because he revealed that the economy of the country will become worse and there would be hardship if Tinubu is allowed to win the election.

Unfortunately, President Tinubu won against the warnings of Primate Ayodele and now, the prophecy has come to pass barely one year after the presidential election.

These were Primate Ayodele’s words

‘’ I’m not saying anyone should not insult me, I am not scared of any human being. If Nigeria votes APC in 2023, things will be tougher. We will see human beings and want to eat them like food. This is how God told me. I am not saying you should not criticize me or say anything against me even as an APC member, I warned you in 2015 too. You want to vote for lies in 2023, if you vote for the party that has a broom as their symbol, I pity churches. I am not against anybody and I don’t vote, Nigeria will be tough. If you vote and Tinubu enters, there will be serious problems.’’

‘’ If Nigerians vote for APC in 2023, the country will sink, we will swim in poverty, and the economy will be in shambles. If APC wins, Nigeria will suffer extraordinarily. We have not yet seen hardship; if APC wins, the real hardship will come. The economy will be sick.’’

Again in 2022, Primate Ayodele revealed that if Nigeria allows a wrong president get to the seat, Dollar will rise to N1,500 meanwhile, the exchange rate was barely N800/$ then.

These were his words

“Terrorism and sanitary will be a thing of the past if Nigeria gets the right president. The question now is how Nigeria would get the right president. But if we get the wrong person, fuel will rise to N1,500 per litre, dollars will rise to N1,500; and insecurity will be alarming.”

2023: Pick wrong president fuel, dollar will rise to N1500 – Primate Ayodele to Nigerians

Just one week ago, Primate Ayodele revealed that if President Tinubu doesn’t work on the solutions he proffered, the dollar will rise to N1700.

‘’All these measures they are taking will not work; it will just lead to inflation. If they don’t do the right thing, Nigeria will buy dollars for N1,700, a bag of rice will cost N90,000 and it will kill the economy. They don’t seem to have ideas will not help the situation.’’

Dollar will sell for N1,700, bag of rice N90,000 – Primate Ayodele warns Tinubu

At the moment, Dollar now sells for N1765/$, just one week after Primate Ayodele’s prophecy.

OGSTEP Benefits Over 65,000 Ogun Residents as Project Nears Completion

More than 65,000 residents of Ogun State have benefitted from wide-ranging economic and social interventions under the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP), a World Bank-supported initiative designed to foster inclusive growth across key sectors.

The figure was disclosed yesterday during the 7th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) held in Abeokuta, where representatives of the Ogun State Government and the World Bank reviewed progress made as the five-year project approaches its final phase.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, who doubles as Chairman of the OGSTEP Technical Committee and Vice Chairman of the Project Steering Committee, outlined the project’s achievements across its major components: agriculture, skills development, business enabling environment, and public sector governance.

Representing the State’s Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Mr. Dapo Okubadejo, Olabimtan said the project has positively impacted over 24,800 farmers through interventions in crop production, aquaculture, and poultry. He added that rehabilitation works on poultry pens and storage facilities are ongoing to improve productivity and reduce post-harvest losses.

In the area of skills development, he noted that all eight Government Technical Colleges across the state are undergoing rehabilitation to create conducive and modern learning environments. He added that more than 17,000 individuals including women, youths, and farmers have completed various literacy and vocational training programmes, while an additional 24,000 are currently enrolled under the Ogun State Skills Fund.

Highlighting progress under the Business Enabling Environment component, Olabimtan revealed that over 15,000 Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-Os) have been processed and issued, enhancing land security and investor confidence in the state.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, underscored the impact of OGSTEP on technical education. He noted that the rehabilitation of technical colleges, training of science teachers, and provision of startup kits to trainees have helped strengthen the state’s workforce development.

The OGSTEP State Project Coordinator, Mrs. Mosunmola Owo-Odusi, described the Implementation Support Mission as a critical evaluation platform for measuring performance and aligning strategies. She commended the collaboration among implementing agencies and cited the rehabilitation and equipping of four Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) as a testament to the project’s broad and inclusive impact.

Stakeholders at the session expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress, noting that OGSTEP has laid a strong foundation for sustainable development, enhanced human capital, and a more vibrant business environment in Ogun State.
