REINSTATEMENT OF SENATOR SAMUEL ANYAWU IS THE BEST DECISION FOR PDP SAYS SENATORIAL ASPIRANT, HON. CHINEDU NSOFOR(KPAKPANDO NDIGBO)

BY
JOSEPH MONDAY

In a heartfelt statement delivered to members of the press, Front-line PDP senatorial Aspirant for Anambra South senatorial bye-election, Hon. Prince Chinedu Nsofor(Kpakpando Ndigbo) has congratulated and commended the National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for reinstating Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy) as the National Secretary of the PDP.

Nsofor, who described the decision as timely, lawful, and unifying, praised the party for aligning with the advice of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); the regulatory authority over all political parties in Nigeria.

“I sincerely congratulate the national leadership of our great party for doing the right thing, which will bring lasting peace to our party PDP,” Nsofor said. “The reinstatement of Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the authentic National Secretary is the best decision made so far. It reflects maturity, obedience to the rule of law, and respect for the regulator, INEC. And I believe this will bring sustainable peace and progress to the PDP.

“Samdaddy is the Face of the Opposition in Imo”

Nsofor used the opportunity to clear the air on what he described as an “erroneous and dangerous narrative” being spread within political circles — that Senator Samuel Anyanwu is allegedly supporting the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“First and foremost, there is this strong notion I must clarify — that Senator Anyanwu is backing APC. That is not just false; it is ironic and completely ridiculous,” Nsofor stated emphatically. “How can anyone claim that Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the only visible opposition figure in Imo State, is supporting APC? Anybody following the political trajectory of Imo knows that he is the only one consistently challenging the ruling party and holding the APC government accountable.”

“Samdaddy’s Political History Speaks for Itself”

Speaking further, Nsofor traced Senator Anyanwu’s political journey and long-standing ties with influential political figures, including FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

“Let it be known: Senator Anyanwu’s quest has always been to serve his people. His long-term ambition of governing Imo State has been in the open, and he has enjoyed massive support from his long-time friend, Chief Nyesom Wike. They’ve been allies since their days as local government chairmen in Ikeduru and Obio-Akpor respectively. But his relationship with Wike should not be misinterpreted as anti-party. Politics is about relationships and not betrayal.”

“Senator Anyanwu has never, and will never, play anti-party politics. He is a core disciple of our late political leader Chief Emmanuel Iwanyanwu CFR. We both belong to the Chief Iwanyanwu’s political family — he is like the first son, and I am the last born of the political family. Therefore, I am in the best position to tell the world the true nature and character of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as against the public misconceptions within the PDP.”

“This Struggle Was Inherited”

According to Nsofor, the attempts to remove Samdaddy were rooted in lingering grievances dating back to the 2023 Imo State governorship primaries.

“This fight to remove him is an inherited vendetta. It began when some individuals believed he should have resigned his position as National Secretary before running for governor. But the PDP Constitution didn’t mandate that. His candidacy was valid. What followed was pure political victimization.”

“They took that fight to the Southeast PDP caucus and deliberately sowed discord to remove him and weaken his future political chances. It’s not about the current narratives being peddled; it’s about fear of Samdaddy and sabotage. But today, truth has prevailed.”

“Call for Unity and Forward Focus”

Nsofor appealed to aggrieved stakeholders to set aside their differences and rally around the current national leadership for the survival and progress of the PDP.

“The decision of the PDP leadership, led by the National Chairman and flanked by respected leaders like Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and the former Senate President of Nigeria Dr. Bukola Saraki, is the right decision in a time like this,” Nsofor said. “I urge all stakeholders to sheathe their swords. Senator Anyanwu does not have the capacity for betrayal. His only interest is to govern Imo State. He will never — and I repeat, never — support President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.”

“One-Party System is a National Disaster”

Nsofor decried attempts of drifting Nigeria toward a one-party state by crippling the opposition, calling it a threat to democracy.

“The dirty politics played by the APC to turn Nigeria into a one-party state is a dangerous trend. It breeds dictatorship and will not be allowed to stand. That’s why the PDP must put it’s house in order — to form a formidable, united opposition ahead of the next general elections. Samdaddy’s reinstatement is a step toward that reality.”

“Let no one fear that his reinstatement spells division. Instead, it is a unifying move — one that places PDP back on the path of strength, especially with upcoming by-elections in the FCT and Anambra South senatorial district. We need a united PDP to avoid complications with INEC and to restore voter confidence.”

Conclusion

Chinedu Nsofor reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the PDP and his absolute confidence in God to emerge as the candidate of the Party in the forthcoming Anambra South senatorial bye-election already scheduled by INEC to hold on 16th August, in other to allow him deliver on his Divine Intervention mandate for the good people of Anambra South Senatorial District.

Her Majesty Queen Amb Dr. Nwamaka Cordelia Anyatonwu, Queen of the Aches Empire under the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom of Atlantis (UKA), has been appointed as the Minister of Humanitarian, Culture, and Kingdom Affairs, effective immediately.

This appointment comes as the UKA takes decisive steps to strengthen its humanitarian efforts and protect its citizens from unauthorized activities. In light of recent developments, the UKA has issued an official public disclaimer cautioning citizens, followers, and the general public about the activities of individuals promoting and operating a coin or platform not officially recognized by the Atlantian Gold Coin (ATC). This follows the hijacking of the 5 billion humanitarian project, a move that has been met with concern and condemnation from the international community.

As the newly appointed Minister, Queen Amb Dr. Anyatonwu has announced that all matters pertaining to the 5 billion humanitarian project in UKA should be directed to her office. This includes the newly captured NGOs, which are now required to report to the Office of Humanitarian Affairs, ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of humanitarian resources.

“We are committed to transparency and accountability in our humanitarian efforts,” said Queen Amb Dr. Anyatonwu. “We urge all stakeholders to work with us to ensure the success of our initiatives and protect our citizens from unauthorized activities. We will not tolerate any form of exploitation or mismanagement of humanitarian funds, and we will take all necessary measures to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.”

The UKA has assured its citizens and the international community that it is taking all necessary measures to recover the hijacked funds and bring the perpetrators to justice. The appointment of Queen Amb Dr. Anyatonwu is seen as a significant step towards achieving this goal and ensuring that humanitarian efforts are aligned with the UKA’s values and principles.

NASRE: Building A Safety Net For Nigeria’s Journalists

At a time when Nigeria’s media industry is strained by economic uncertainty, job instability, and shrinking newsroom resources, the Nigerian Association of Social and Resourceful Editors (NASRE) is redefining professional solidarity. More than a network of editors, it is emerging as a critical support system for journalists navigating an increasingly precarious landscape.

Founded on the principles of welfare, solidarity, and professional growth, NASRE has positioned itself as a responsive and forward-looking body within the media ecosystem. While many professional associations remain focused on advocacy and training, NASRE distinguishes itself by combining these roles with direct and practical support for journalists and their families.

At the core of its mission is a clear proposition that no journalist should be abandoned in times of need. Through financial assistance, targeted outreach, and sustained engagement, the association has supported members facing hardship, as well as widows and families of deceased practitioners. These largely understated interventions have steadily earned NASRE credibility and respect across the industry.

The organisation’s approach reflects a keen awareness of the pressures confronting media professionals, including irregular pay, job insecurity, and limited institutional backing. In such an environment, NASRE’s welfare initiatives are not merely charitable, they are essential.

Beyond welfare, the association is investing in professional resilience. Through collaboration, networking, and knowledge-sharing platforms, it is equipping editors and practitioners to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving digital media space, where adaptability is no longer optional.

Headquartered in Lagos, NASRE continues to broaden its reach, attracting a growing membership united by the need for a more responsive and supportive professional community. Its expansion signals a shift in expectations within the industry, away from symbolic affiliations towards institutions that deliver measurable value.

For many observers, NASRE represents a necessary evolution, a professional body anchored not just in ideals, but in impact. By combining empathy with structure, it offers a model of what media associations can become in challenging times.

As the industry continues to evolve, organisations like NASRE may prove indispensable. In a profession devoted to telling society’s stories, it is ensuring that the storytellers themselves are not left behind.
