TOP NIGERIAN ARTISTES THRILL FANS AT THE ZENITH BANK ASPIRE MUSIC FESTIVAL

It was a night filled with magnificence and splendor as music lovers and fun seekers were treated to topnotchentertainment at the Zenith Bank Aspire Music Festival which held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Harbour Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The musical festival lived up to its billing as the most anticipated entertainment event of the year, as the audience were treated to electrifying and captivating musical performances by Nigeria’s top artistes including Olamide, Flavour, Phyno, Niniola, Mayorkun and Rema.

Also on hand to anchor the event and thrill the audience with rib-cracking jokes was Kenny Black, while celebrity hypeman, Do2dtun, revved up the crowd throughout the night.

Indeed, the crowd could not have asked for a better and more enthralling night as the artistes took to the stage one after the other treating the audience to their majorhit songs. From Olamide’s rave-of-the-moment song“Pawon” to Rema’s “Dumebi”, Niniola’s Maradona, Mayorkun’s “Mama”, Phyno’s “Fada Fada” and Flavour’s “Ada Ada”, the audience well held spellbound throughout the night and got real value for their time.

The breathtaking festival, which is one of a series of events lined up by Zenith Bank to usher in “Style by Zenith 2.0”, the bank’s annual lifestyle fair which takesplace towards the end of the year, will no doubt linger in people’s memories for many years to come.

The Tampan Guild of Directors under the Chairmanship of Ambassador Titi Jeje with the great support of Otunba Bolaji Amusan JP, the amiable Global President of Theatre Art and Motion Pictures Practitioner Association of Nigeria and Worldwide (TAMPAN) coordinated the First Director’s Forum of Tampan. This Guild having Tola Bolaji as Secretary, Wale Rasaq as Treasurer, Wale Bamidele as PRO and Alhassan Taofiq Abisogun as Provost took the bull by the horns to create an unprecedented legacy in the filmmaking world.

 

 

 

 

 

The program began with the speech by the Chairman of the Guild who highlighted the reasons for the forum and the urgent need to our directors to learn, unlearn and relearn. He rolled out his plans for the guild and promised to ensure a speedy growth for every member.

 

 

 

 

 

The global President Otunba Bolaji Amusan JP spoke glowly about promoting excellence. He empathized that any director that wants to build a lasting legacy will not shoot a shabby film. He commended the initiative of the directors and promised to constantly support the Guild.

 

 

 

 

Dr Razaq Olayiwola Ojopagogo, the guest speaker, spoke on the need to research, learn, swallow pride to ask relevant questions that will enhance your knowledge. He further posited that any director who feels no need to seek knowledge because of pride will soon find his or herself in the abyss of being forgotten.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr Adebayo Tijani advised TGD directors to focus on the end result and pay the price now. Excellence must be their watchword, they must focus less on money and more on delivering quality, excellence and Creativity because with the right results money will be msde

 

 

 

 

The Director’s forum also provided a medium for Directors to network and find Future collaborations. The Forum was indeed an eye-opener and a step in the right direction for movie makers in Nigeria most especially those within Tampan.

The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to a viral video of singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable confronting some officers deployed to the recreational centre he owns in Ogun State.

In the video shared widely on Tuesday, Portable can be seen demanding an explanation for the officers’ presence, with the operatives notifying him that a petition was filed against him.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Wednesday, said the artist exhibited irrational behaviour and hurled insults at police officers carrying out their legal duty.

According to him, the action is criminal and punishable by the criminal laws of Nigeria.

The action of the singer in the video was unruly and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and incitement of violence against the officers who were detailed to execute a warrant of arrest on him for series of allegations of criminal acts leveled against Mr Portable,” Adejobi said.

The NPF will take all necessary steps to investigate his actions and ensure that he is prosecuted for any criminal activity he may have committed depending on the severity of the offense.”

Ama’s mentor in the music, according to her is Jesus, while the Holy spirit inspires her song compositions.

Aina is happily married and blessed with three kids.She came from a family of seven of Mr.and Mrs. Oyetesu of Ilishan Remo, Ogun state.

She started her elementary school at Omoluwabi Model School, Ijebu ode, proceeded to Ijebu Muslim College, Ijebu Ode, then finished at Isanbi Comprehensive High School, Ilishan Remo. She later studied Education at the College of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode before proceeding to the University of Massachusetts for a bachelor’s degree in Human Services.
