NASRE Salutes Hundeyin, Adebisi on Appointments, Urges Stronger Police–Media Relations

The Nigerian Association of Social and Resourceful Editors (NASRE) has congratulated Chief Superintendent of Police Benjamin Hundeyin and Superintendent of Police Abimbola Adebisi on their respective appointments as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) and Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer.

In a statement signed by its President, Comrade Femi Oyewale, and made available to newsmen, the association described both officers as seasoned professionals whose appointments would further strengthen police–public engagement and enhance the image of the Nigeria Police Force.

NASRE Salutes Hundeyin, Adebisi on Appointments, Urges Stronger Police–Media Relations

Oyewale urged the newly appointed spokespersons to see their positions as an opportunity to deepen citizens’ confidence in the police and foster stronger collaboration with the media.

“The leadership of NASRE congratulate CSP Benjamin Hundeyin on his elevation as the Force PRO and SP Abimbola Adebisi on her new role as Lagos Command PRO. These appointments are well deserved, given their track records. We, however, urge them to get closer to citizens and the press to bridge existing gaps and build trust between the Force and the people,” the statement read.

The editors’ body noted that NASRE had enjoyed a cordial working relationship with Hundeyin during his tenure as Lagos Command PRO and expressed readiness to extend the same hand of partnership to his successor, Adebisi.

“NASRE is still available to work hand in hand with the new Lagos spokesperson, SP Adebisi, as we did with Benjamin Hundeyin when he occupied the position in Lagos. We are also committed to supporting Benjamin in his new capacity at the Force Headquarters. Our collective goal remains to strengthen the synergy between the police and the citizens through effective communication and constructive engagement,” the statement added.

NASRE reaffirmed its members’ commitment to using their respective platforms to promote transparency, accountability, and mutual understanding between the police and the Nigerian public.

50 Years and Counting: Pastor Adeboye’s Golden Jubilee of Ordination in RCCG

By Femi Oyewale

On September 14, 2025, the world pauses to celebrate a remarkable milestone: Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), marks 50 years since his ordination as a pastor. Half a century of consistent service, unwavering faith, and unbroken devotion to God has produced not just a man of God, but a movement that has spanned nations and transformed countless lives.
This is not merely a personal jubilee—it is a global testimony.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye: A Global Spiritual Leader and Generational Blessing
 The Humble Beginning
Pastor Adeboye’s story begins in Ifewara, Osun State, where he was born on March 2, 1942. Raised in a modest family, young Adeboye often faced financial struggles, yet excelled in academics. He pursued mathematics with passion, eventually earning degrees from the University of Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University) and later a Ph.D. from the University of Lagos.
Yet, it was not numbers that defined his destiny—it was faith. In 1973, through the ministry of the late Pa Josiah Akindayomi, founder of RCCG, Adeboye gave his life to Christ. Two years later, on September 14, 1975, he was ordained a pastor. That day, though seemingly ordinary, would ignite a global revival.
 The Mantle of Leadership
When Pa Akindayomi passed away in 1980, Adeboye—then just a young pastor—was divinely chosen to succeed him as General Overseer. On January 21, 1981, he officially took over leadership of RCCG.
At the time, the church had fewer than 50 parishes in Nigeria and was virtually unknown internationally. Through prayer, vision, and obedience, Adeboye charted a bold new course.
His famous vision: “To have a church within five minutes walking distance in every city in developing nations and within five minutes driving distance in developed nations” became the blueprint of expansion. Today, RCCG is present in over 190 nations, with tens of thousands of parishes across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and beyond.

50 Years and Counting: Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s Golden Jubilee of Ordination in RCCG

Global Ministry, Global Impact
Under Pastor Adeboye’s leadership, RCCG has grown into a spiritual force recognized globally.
Holy Ghost Services: Monthly gatherings at the Redemption Camp attract millions of worshippers, making it one of the largest Christian assemblies in the world.
Annual Holy Ghost Congress & Convention: These events have become pilgrimage points, drawing worshippers, leaders, and seekers from all over the globe.
Festival of Life: Held in major cities like London, Manchester, and Dallas, this international outreach has brought revival to the diaspora.
Adeboye’s ministry has also birthed initiatives that go beyond preaching. RCCG has established schools, universities (notably Redeemer’s University), hospitals, orphanages, skill acquisition centers, and numerous humanitarian projects. His impact resonates in governance, education, healthcare, and social transformation.
A Father to Nations
Pastor Adeboye’s influence extends far beyond RCCG. His devotionals, particularly the globally celebrated Open Heavens, guide millions in daily Christian living. Leaders—political, business, and religious—often seek his counsel and prayers.
Despite this reach, he remains profoundly humble. Famously, he describes himself as “the least of the least” and simply “Daddy G.O.” to his spiritual children worldwide.
His life of discipline—marked by fasting, prayer, and holiness—has become a model of Christian leadership in an age when many have compromised.
Legacy and the Next Chapter
Now at 83, Pastor Adeboye shows no signs of slowing down. His passion for evangelism burns as brightly as it did 50 years ago. His focus remains clear: winning souls, preparing the world for the return of Christ, and mentoring a new generation of leaders.
The legacy of his ministry lies not only in the exponential growth of RCCG but in the lives changed through his obedience. From villages in Africa to megacities in Europe and America, countless testimonies echo one truth: his life is proof of what God can do with a yielded vessel.
Celebrating God’s Grace
As Pastor Enoch Adeboye celebrates 50 years of ordination, the world celebrates God’s faithfulness. This jubilee is a call to thanksgiving, reflection, and rededication—not just for him, but for all who believe.

APC Anambra Governorship Candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, In Alleged N1Billion Naira Land Fraud… Rescued from Creditors’ Mob Action

It was a very big embarrassment for Nicholas Ukachukwu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, when he was accosted by aggrieved subscribers who allegedly paid him N1Billion to his estate business, Chupi Company Limited, for the issuance of land that has not been delivered for three years.

APC Anambra Governorship Candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, In Alleged N1Billion Naira Land Fraud... Rescued from Creditors' Mob Action

The subscribers have been looking for him where he was allegedly hiding, at the Transcop Hotel, Abuja, and they blocked his way claiming he was owing them a debt of N1Billion which he had refused to pay, in relation to the issuance of land which has not be given to them.

It took the intervention of his security men and officials of the hotel to rescue the confused politician, who was in the company of his family members from the wrath of the men. In a social media video currently in circulation, Ukachukwu was seen been protected from the some persons suspected to be involved in the incident.

In another development, the coalition of over forty Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) has allegedly received a petition from the aggrieved subscribers against Sen. Ukachukwu’s Chupi Company Limited for an alleged fraud of N1Billion relating to the land

According to the Coalition, the subscribers paid the money to Zoe Dew Dawn Nigeria Ltd, a real estate firm that has shown sufficient proof of sending the same sum of money since the year 2022 to Chupi Company Limited for the estate land, as alleged.

Shockingly, three years have passed, yet not a single plot of land has not been allocated, nor has their hard-earned money been refunded.

Despite several efforts to get Sen. Ukachukwu to honour the agreement reached by the subscribers, he has continued to demonstrate tendencies that left the owners with no option but to go public for the APC governorship candidate to be compelled to pay or release the land according to sources.

The Coalition has pointed out that the situation is not only a monumental breach of trust but also a direct assault on transparency, accountability, good governance, and values which public servants and political leaders ought to embody.

The refusal or failure of Sen. Ukachukwu’s Chupi Company Limited to fulfill its contractual and moral obligation to its subscribers casts a dark shadow on his integrity and raises serious questions about his fitness to lead Anambra State, according to the CSO.

On behalf of the aggrieved subscribers, the CSO coalition has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Sen. Ukachukwu and Chupi Company Limited to either refund the ₦1 billion paid by the subscribers or issue the estate lands as agreed.

The Coalition has categorically stated that failure to comply with these demands within the stipulated period will leave the subscribers with no other option than to occupy the streets of Anambra in peaceful but resolute protest until justice is served.

The coalition therefore called on relevant regulatory agencies, anti-corruption bodies, and law enforcement agencies to take immediate interest in this case and ensure that justice is delivered without fear or favour.

“We will also present a petition before the Anambra State Chapter of APC, the National Secretariat of APC, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, the Inspector General of Police, and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS),” the Coalition added.
