The African Meets Reggae & World Music International Festival set to rock Lagos city this month. It’s a festival outlined to accommodate all classes of Reggae music lovers.
The mandators, Victor Essiet, speaking at the press conference on Tuesday assured that all was set to make the music festival memorable for lovers of reggae music and fun seekers. he also confirmed that it has come to stay in Africa.
According to him, “We are glad to have brought refreshingly new sound in the Reggae music industry across Africa through Africa Meets Reggae Concert.
“we are passionate to revive reggae as well as support the up-and-coming ones. We will do our best in achieving this even without the support of anyone, but as long as Jah is supporting us. All is set for this year’s event and we assure people of maximum security; we want reggae fans and lovers of good music to celebrate reggae music.”
The show which has been tagged: “ONE PEOPLE”, will take place at the Hockey Pitch of the National Stadium,Surulere, Lagos on the 26th of November, 2016.
This year’s Festival which marks the 3rd edition would be an exception as it would feature headliners including; Nkulee Dube from South Africa, the daughter of African reggae legend,big Bob (Sierra Leone),Captain Blazee, Saint Peters, Jethro Lion, the daughter of the late Sonny Okosu, Faith Okosuns,Tuface Idibia, Patoranking, Red Fadh from Ghana, Majek Fashek, Oristefemi, Seyi Shay, Presh, Victor Essiet and El jay from USA, to mention few are to participate. Top Fuji lords, Pasuma Wonder (Oganla 1) and Alao Malaika are also bill to add fun and razzmatazz to the festival. The festival has been celebrated annually in the countries across Europe, Americas, Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand before berthing in Nigeria.
The international music festival has its birth in the United State Of America USA, has its franchise given to Victor Essiet better known as Mandators, a Nigerian based in Los Angeles, California, United State.
