Great teachers will never counsel you to be careless; they will teach you to be balanced and be helpful when necessary.

Man of God and president of Omega Fire Ministries worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, is an everyday man. With each passing day, he sees the need to help others. His philosophy of life, ‘If you want to prove that you love God you must love people because they are His children’, came into play once again during a special service on Friday, 9th of June, 2017, when he rescued a pastor from being shamed by his landlord who had thrown his family out of their rented apartment over N150, 000 rent arrears.

During the service, the ‘Oracle of God’ announced from the pulpit that the Holy Spirit was revealing to him some names like ‘Goodheart and Peace, probing if there was anyone in the congregation that bears such names. The man of God had barely ended his speech when a man stormed out from among the worshippers, shouting he is Peace Goodheart. Narrating his ordeal in tears, the pastor who had come to worship at the OFM, Auchi headquarters, said his family was on the verge of being sacked from their apartment because he was unable to settle his N150, 000 rent this year, among other challenges the family was facing at that moment.

Apostle Suleman then said that God revealed to him that the troubled pastor was going through trying times because he was being prepared to be a full-time preacher. The servant of God was later shocked the pastor and the entire congregation when he blessed him with one million naira cash, to pay for three years rent and give his wife N500, 000 to support the family business.

Meanwhile, the next leg of the OFM’s ‘Help From Above’ crusade will be taking the man of God to four nations. Apostle Suleman will be in California between Tuesday, 20th and Wednesday 21st June, 2017, while the train will be moved to Cairo, Egypt between Tuesday, 11thand Wednesday 12th, 2017. On Monday, 7th of August, 2017, the servant of God and his soul-winning team will touch on Vienna, Austria, and ends the programme on Tuesday 8th of August, 2017. Between the 19th and 20th of September, 2017, the crusade will be hosted in Paris, France.

Apostle Suleman is noted widely for his passion for not just helping materially by giving to the needy, but also for helping mentally by giving comfort to the sorrowful, courage to the fearful, divine friendship and moral support to the weak.

Don’t Return Fuel Subsidy Through Dubious Means, Group Tells NNPCL’s Mele Kyari

Don’t Return Fuel Subsidy Through Dubious Means, Group Tells NNPCL’s Mele Kyari

The Afenifere Mandate Forum (AMF) has cautioned the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) against re-introducing fuel subsidy through dubious means, citing the regime’s notorious history of corruption.

The group emphasised the need for transparency going forward, urging the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) not to make payments to NNPCL’s foreign partners in the name of subsidy.

In a statement signed by its President, Otunba Davies Folorunsho, the group said the fuel subsidy regime was embroiled in corruption, with allegations of fraudulent payments and inflated subsidies.

Folorunsho said Mele Kyari, the Group CEO of NNPCL, was at the centre of the controversy, with reports of the company importing toxic fuel from Malta.

He noted that this not only perpetuated corruption but also endangered the health and safety of Nigerians.

However, Folorunsho said the he removal of fuel subsidy has been a significant step towards economic recovery, saving the country billions of dollars that were previously spent on subsidizing petrol prices.

“In 2022 alone, subsidies gulped $10 billion, leaving the state oil company NNPC with nothing to remit to the treasury,” he added.

“Fuel subsidy were not only financially ruinous but also largely regressive, benefiting mostly car-owning urbanites and those who could afford petrol-powered generators.

“As a result of the subsidy removal, the financial burden on the government has been significantly reduced, freeing up more funds for critical infrastructure and social programs.

“Additionally, government revenue has increased, smuggling has decreased, and the risk of adulterated fuel has been mitigated. The removal of fuel subsidy has also paved the way for a more sustainable energy ecosystem, encouraging the use of alternative energy sources and reducing Nigeria’s reliance on fossil fuels.

The group urged the NNPCL to maintain transparency in its operations and avoid re-introducing fuel subsidy through the backdoor.

“We believe that the removal of fuel subsidy is a step in the right direction, and we urge the government to continue on this path towards economic recovery,” Folorunsho said.
