The brilliant BABATUNDE GBADAMOSI and the use of technology. What was the Governorship aspirant doing with a smart phone or gadget on the podium at the debate?

Do not mistake this write up as something else that it isn’t and let it not take away in anyway or manner from the brilliance of a man I and many have come to admire since he came on very recently to our consciousness. What one is just trying to advocate here is that anything or everything that can bring about any type of suspicion of cheating of any kind, must be avoided.

From the way he performed and like I and a few already discussed, it is obvious the man is brilliant and very passionate. And like many of us concluded, if one was on the lookout for an alternative, the one that seem to tick all the boxes and brilliantly too at that, after the debate held a few days back was none other Mr. Babatunde GBADAMOSI.

But just imagine that on a forum that I am part of, in praising him for a great job well done at the debate of a few days ago, one of the statement someone made that particularly got my attention was that, “it was like he had seen the examination questions way before hand, so maybe, he had come well prepared” in fact better prepared than all others. If that was so, then it would have meant that even if he was normally very brilliant, it would have meant like he had “undue advantage” over all the others, who must have also come to the debate too well prepared, but without the undue advantage of knowing what could be coming their way before hand! Not that I am saying he specifically knew what was coming, so he had prepared his answers. But from the looks of things, one way or the other it looks somewhat like he had some form of advantage! Even if the use of his phone was by mistake!

If the scenario painted above was then the case, then it would have just meant that it wasn’t a level playing ground at all as it was meant to have been. Let me explain what I mean as plainly as possible. Some can quickly dismiss the observation and say it was an unfortunate omission, not meant to have happened and it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. But we have come to understand rather plainly according to the most basic of law that, the excuse of ignorance of the law or not knowing that it wasn’t meant to be that way does not excuse the one who has trampled ignorantly on the law or committed a mistake ignorantly, from the dictates of the law.

Check out the many pictures below of the brilliant ADP candidate, Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi at the very recent Governorship Debate, where he was resoundingly brilliant. In the 4 pictures attached you would have noticed in his hand what is his ‘phone’ and in this case, it’s most probably a smart phone of the best kind. We don’t need to talk about make or brand here, as a smart phone is smart phone and what it does or how it works is why it is called a smart phone. We all know what a gadget in this 22nd century can do in the hands of a geek or any of those brilliant, young minds who knows how to use it to the best advantage. One of those things that’s possible to do is the ability to source for information at the speed of light and be able to communicate very fast too. A smart gadget in the hands of a brilliant mind, means undue and unnecessary advantage against all others. It’s like a student in the examination hall sitting for his/her papers, having in his or her hand, a tool or gadget where he or she can source for answers and solutions to questions and problems at the speed of light.

For a better understanding of things, let’s create the scenario. There are about 5 to 6 of you on a podium and a general question is thrown to everyone and you are not the 1st person to get up to answer. If you have people in the audience or even at home watching, who are your aides and are super good, they could easily help you out! A general rule of thumb at such debates like this is not to have any outside aid/help of any kind in the process. Part of the reason for that general rule of thumb is so that people can just assess you as you are, someone who has done his or her research about a subject or issue very well and has come to the proper understanding of it/them, by critical thinking and reasoning may have been able to come to solutions and answers to those concerns. That kind of a person needs no aids to get their answers across.

A level playing ground that would have been devoid of any form of hanky-panky, and that no one would have been suspicious of would have been that, all the candidates of the different parties at the debate would all also have had their phones or other gadgets at hand to refer to for any reason whatsoever! But for just one of them alone, a super brilliant person at that, to have had that undue, unnecessary advantage above all else, is not a nice thing at all.

And I think for subsequent debates, that kind of advantage shouldn’t be allowed at all.

Among His Peers, Oba Orin Saheed Osupa Stands Out : The Fuji Star’s Storytelling Legacy

By Alhaji Arems

In the vibrant world of Fuji music, where the artistry of storytelling and cultural commentary thrive, Saheed Osupa has carved out a unique role as both an artist and an influencer of thought. Recently, his name has been lighting up social media discussions and generating significant buzz—not just because of his music but because of the depth of his words. Osupa’s trending status is rooted in his ability to subtly address pressing issues, particularly those surrounding the ongoing tension between fellow Fuji musicians Taye Currency and Pasuma Wonder.

Osupa’s recent contributions to this situation have not been straightforward; rather, he has adopted an artistic approach, using parables and proverbs—sometimes through complex storytelling—to impart wisdom. These nuanced messages, often hidden within his lyrics, resonate with fans who appreciate the clever way he brings age-old Yoruba wisdom into contemporary issues. One notable example involves a story about an animal (traditionally symbolizing patience and resilience) that many believe reflects Osupa’s thoughts on rivalry and pride. Through this parable, he seems to suggest the importance of self-reflection and restraint, especially in the heat of conflict.

In a genre that values not only musicality but also the power of words, Osupa has long been seen as a master of *itan*, or storytelling. His recent songs echo the traditional Yoruba way of imparting wisdom through tales that serve as lessons. This is a skill that few artists have mastered, making his approach particularly impactful in today’s fast-paced digital world, where nuanced messages can often be overlooked.

Beyond the Taye Currency-Pasuma Wonder issue, Osupa’s trending status is also due to his reputation as a voice of reason and maturity in Fuji music. As a genre that is often vibrant and full of competitive spirit, Fuji has its share of rivalries. Yet, Osupa has often stood out by promoting unity and peaceful dialogue among Fuji artists. By sharing these reflective stories in his music, he adds layers of meaning that fans continue to unpack and discuss, drawing new audiences who appreciate both the artistry and wisdom behind his words.

The charm of Saheed Osupa lies in his timeless approach. In a world where trends are fleeting, he reminds fans of the importance of timeless values, urging reflection, humility, and understanding. As fans interpret and share his latest stories, Osupa’s message continues to resonate widely—proof that, in Fuji, the power of words can be as influential as the beat of the drum.

Coalition Congratulates Oluyede on Appointment as Acting COAS

The Convener of the Coalition, Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi, in a statement, said General Oluyede has the responsibility to consolidate the success achieved by the Nigerian Army under General Taoreed Lagbaja.

President Bola Tinubu had on Wednesday, October 30, appointed Oluyede as acting COAS pending the return of the indisposed substantive Chief of Army Staff, General Taoreed Lagbaja.

“His appointment is the way to go. As the acting Chief of Army Staff, Oluyede has the responsibility to lead an army that will administratively manage the institution, consolidate on the success achieved by General Lagbaja and his team to mop up remnants of insurgents, bandits and the ragtag criminal elements in the North, and dismantle the ethnic militias in the Southeast to bring peace in the country.
