Fast rising Nollywood actor, Yinka Smart Adefuye better known as Yinka Smart is one of the handsome guys currently rocking the Yoruba movie scene.

He joined the industry in year 2000 and has evolved over the years starting as a trainee and later as a rounded professional who makes such a delight to watch on the big screen.

In an Exclusive Interview with THECONSCIENCEng, Smart revealed the late movie producer, Prince Muyideen Alade Aromire, as the biggest inspiration behind his acting career, describing Aromire’s impact on him as irreplaceable.

The vibrant youthful actor who has featured in top Yoruba movies including The hidden Truth, Omonitan, asa and
Akanke Alata noted that apart from academic training, his tutelage which began in year 2000 under the late Aromire for eight years made him a thoroughbred professional.

He added that he now enjoys the benefits of the tutelage as evident in his versatility, resilience and character.

He also expressed delight in being a part of the fifteen years memorial session organised in honour of Aromire at Disc Communications, Ikeja where fellow actors, broadcasters, producers, fans and other allied players gathered to remember Alade.

Prince Aromire was the pioneer of the Yoruba home video and television entertainment who passed on July 4, 2008 at a tender age of 45.

The late icon was also a director, known for Oro idile (2007), Olórí (2007) and Omo inu oku (2001).

“Apart from my degree in Theatre Arts from the Lagos State University, I also trained under the late Alade Aromire for eight years before he died in 2008. This prepared me for what I’m doing today and I can say the benefits are enormous.”
