As Idumonza Isidahomen, a Social Democratic Party, SDP, governorship aspirant in the Edo 2024 contest, envisions a transformative era for the state, youths, under the aegis of Etsako Prosperity, EP, have described his aspiration as a beacon of hope for Edo State.

Rising from a meeting that held last weekend at Agenebode, Etsako East Local Government Area, the Etsako Prosperity youths noted that Idumonza’s comprehensive “action plans to address longstanding challenges and propel Edo State into a new phase of growth, ” is the needed conviction that the Esan born media practitioner is the right man for Edo State transformation from November 2024.

In a statement signed by the president of the youth group, Momoh Ganiyu, they emphasized that Idumonza’s action packed plans are “Unparalleled.

The insightful document which offers clarity to Idumonza’s commitment to the people of Edo State, stressed that in the face of over two decades of rule by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State has unfortunately experienced economic stagnation.

Idumonza, therefore, aims to break away from this stagnation by introducing innovative policies and strategic initiatives.
His vision is rooted in fostering economic diversification, job creation, and infrastructural development that align with the aspirations and needs of the people.

Idumonza pledges to prioritize sectors such as education, healthcare and agriculture, recognizing the pivotal roles of these sectors in building a sustainable future for Edo State.

His proposed policies include robust investments in education to empower the youth, the establishment of modern healthcare facilities to enhance public health, and the implementation of agrarian reforms to boost food security and stimulate the agricultural sector.

Moreover, Idumonza emphasizes the importance of good governance, transparency and accountability as the foundation for effective administration.

He envisions an inclusive government that actively engages citizens in decision-making processes and ensures that their concerns are addressed frontally.

Ukrainian boxing sensation Oleksandr Usyk retained his heavyweight championship titles and cemented his place in boxing history with a unanimous decision victory over Britain’s Tyson Fury in their rematch on Saturday night.

The judges scored the bout 116-112 in Usyk’s favor across the board, marking his second consecutive win over Fury. This victory extended Usyk’s flawless professional record to 23-0, with 14 knockouts, adding another chapter to a career already highlighted by Olympic gold and an undisputed cruiserweight championship.
