Makinde Schooled Adereti over rumour on private chat messages

In an attempt to set the record straight following some unnecessary rumour being peddle in and around Ife federal constituency of Osun Srate, where a private chat between Hon Rotimi Makinde and Mr Benjamin Adereti who was the candidate of ife federal Apc was made puplic .This had warranted some noises in the social media going like wild fire….Makinde reacts.

MAKINDE SCHOOLED ADERETI…
Kayode, good morning!,

I have not in anyway pressured you to pull out of the court on your matter with Hon Bimbo Ajilesoro. I expected you to state the correct instances and what prompted my intervention when we spoke and mark you,you personally sought my opinion !.
I advice you in good faith as an Ife person with references to my experience,so that you will afford clashing with those set of people who actually made you a choice as against my person. You are not in anyway better than me .I actually re echoed the fact that this same set of people in our community impressed it on me not to engaged you in court when indeed i believed i have a strong case of non compliance against your person !…

Please i advice you to be upright in your reporting speech to any of our leader instead of portraying me as someone without regards to our party or leader of the party….

I spoke to you as a brother and as an ife born and as someone that wanted peace and what i considered as the best for you in that citcumstances. You may wish to know that i have never engaged in any secret or open meeting with any one on your matter. So,please stop this kindergarten politics and do not turn yourself to a Palace Jesters.I acted in good faith.

Making our telephone discussion a news item and escalating my simple, private and honest advice to you in the name of politics of malice can only be to portray me as a peacork or as someone so ‘Anti’ to the party position in the eyes of our leaders and followers.

Makinde Schooled Adereti over rumour on private chat messages

This is highly mischievous…

I guess i was wrong to think you have respect for our community ile Ife ,The Ooni of Ife, the Council of Ife traditional High Chief and especially your supposed father, The Loowa of Ile Ife ( Oloye Adekola Adereti) who actually made you a ‘ “Little Star” both at the party level and on election day .He selectively worked for you as an individual and worked against other candidates of our party which of course weaned down my spirited effort to make you win my ward for you on that day…Quote me anywhere!….I was out on the election day to make you win and i did worked with all my strenght without collecting a dime from you or any leader…You may wish to note that I did the same in my ward (ilode 1) during the last governorship election as against others..I won….Its really sad that i woke up this morning to be reading this maligned KERE O ,KERE O,KERE O,(reproduced here)All in your satanic imagination to pull me down at all cost.God’s got me here for something!.

Please note that you are indeed entitled to your opinion for i am not your sponsorer !.

I will be more guided in future.

Oleksandr Usyk Defeats Tyson Fury Again, Solidifies Legacy Among Boxing Greats

Ukrainian boxing sensation Oleksandr Usyk retained his heavyweight championship titles and cemented his place in boxing history with a unanimous decision victory over Britain’s Tyson Fury in their rematch on Saturday night.

The judges scored the bout 116-112 in Usyk’s favor across the board, marking his second consecutive win over Fury. This victory extended Usyk’s flawless professional record to 23-0, with 14 knockouts, adding another chapter to a career already highlighted by Olympic gold and an undisputed cruiserweight championship.

A Masterclass Performance

Usyk, 37, showcased his signature precision and relentless pace, repeatedly catching Fury with clean left hooks and dominating the latter stages of the fight. Fury, at 6ft 9in (206cm) and weighing a career-high 281 pounds, attempted to impose his physicality but was unable to break Usyk’s composure.

The fight, held in Saudi Arabia, saw Usyk wearing traditional Cossack attire during his entrance, while Fury entered the arena dressed in a festive Santa-inspired robe to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

The early rounds were competitive, with Fury landing powerful jabs and body shots. However, Usyk’s endurance and tactical brilliance began to shine in the middle rounds. The Ukrainian landed sharp combinations and dictated the tempo, including a stunning uppercut in the final round that left little doubt about the outcome.

“I thought I’ve won both fights,” Fury said post-match, sporting a bruised right eye. “But I’ll always believe until the day I die that I won that fight.”

A Legacy Sealed

Usyk’s victory solidified his standing as one of the greatest heavyweights in history. Already the first undisputed heavyweight of the four-belt era, Usyk joins the ranks of legends like Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, and Mike Tyson.

The bout, reported to have a prize purse of $190 million, also underscored Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in global sports. Usyk, who served briefly as a soldier during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, celebrated his victory by hoisting a symbolic sabre belonging to Ukrainian nationalist hero Ivan Mazepa.

Fury’s Uncertain Future

The defeat leaves Fury’s future in doubt. Once unbeaten across 35 fights, Fury now stands at 34-2-1. His attempt to reclaim glory after a brief retirement in 2022 has been marred by back-to-back losses to Usyk.

Usyk, on the other hand, continues to add to his already remarkable resume, leaving fans and critics alike in awe of his technical skill, resilience, and determination. As the heavyweight division looks ahead, Usyk’s reign appears unshakable, and his place among boxing’s all-time greats is firmly secured.
