OHANAEZE NDIGBO LAGOS STATE EXCOMMUNICATE CHIEF JOHN ONYEBUCHUKWU

By Ifeoma Ikem
his resolution was taking by Ohanaeze Ndigbo of Lagos State and it elders to end the unfortunate abuse from Akpati Nse Egbe to the Present President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo of Lagos state, Chief Solomon Ogbonna (Aguene) in Lagos.
It is most unfortunate that we have been confronted recently with the publications of mischief makers and enemies of progress concerning the academic certificate of the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna (Aguene)

Ordinary, we would have overlooked the publication because the points raised by the mischief makers were inconsequential, baseless and illogical. More so, their allegations were sentimentalised, not founded on proof and evidence of facts.
However, we have decided to react because it is always good to set the records straight for purposes of history and also to let the general public know the simple truth about the certificate allegation and who actually the principal mischief maker is on Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State,
Before we proceed, we want to start by making it very clear that the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos does not require academic certificate to lead Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State which is why he never presented or tendered ant certificate to anyone or group because certificate is not needed to run the organization. What is required is speaking Igbo Language fluently, Common wisdom, Intelligence, Human Relations and above all ALTRUISM. As you can confirm, the MAN OF THE MOMENT Chief Solomon Ogbonna has given Ndigbo a very huge voice in Lagos. His personal touch to the lives of Ndigbo in Lagos state is second to none.
It is therefore unnecessary to join issues bordering on blackmail and distraction by a set of disgruntled person/s
Be that as it may, since there was never a time Chief Solomon Ogbonna gave or tendered any academic certificate to anyone during or after the election that brought him into Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership position because there was absolutely no reason to do so. It then means that the mischief makers have some explanation to make to the entire Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State concerning the source of the certificate they are peddling and carrying about to undermine the reputation of the president and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State at large…
Having said that let it be known that the principal mischief maker Chef John Uche who claims to be the founder of Ohanaezez Ndigbo in Lagos State was never the founder. Even if he was the founder, does it give him the impetus to demolished or set fire to the house he claimed to have built? That is insane of the highest order. John Uche THE IMPOSTER WAS even excommunicated by Prof. Ben Nwabueze the then leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide before Chief Nzewi became the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State. And John Uche remained excommunicated from all Ohanaeze activities Worldwide before Chief Oliver Akubueze took over from Nzewi.
Records had it that Chief Oliver Akubueze went to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Headquarters Enugu several times pleading tirelessly on behalf of John Uche before Enugu granted Chief Oliver’s request and release John Uche from excommunication bondage. The reason John Uche was excommunicated were linked to extortion, Indiscriminate installation of kingship/Eze in Lagos State, embezzlement of OHANAEZE funds, Questionable, Immoral, Atrocious, Abomination, Unspeakable and Adulterous behaviours with Ohanaeze married women, sabotaging Igbo agenda among others.
We have gathered here today to tell Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide and the world as a while as the Elders in Council of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Ndieze, the executives, chairmen, women, youth and the entire members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos state have taken firm decision never to allow John Uche toil with our peace anymore. Never to allow John Uche set ablaze the house we all suffered to build. Never to allow John continue destroying our values.
In order to achieve the desire peace in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, we have unanimously decided to EXCOMMUNICATE john Uche henceforth from all activities of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos state.
Henceforth John Uche will never be allowed to attend Ohanaeze activities or event anymore, No Ohanaezez Ndigbo member will eat or dinne with him, no one will even drink ordinary water from John Uche or give him to drink
No Ohanaeze member shall buy from John Uche or sell to home; No Ohanaeze Ndigbo member shall belong to or share the same organization, association or platform with him
No member shall visit John Uche or receive him as a visitor no matter what the condition might be
No Ohanaeze Ndigbo member shall enter the same car, bus or any type of vehicle with John Uche and Any member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State members, Ndi or Onye Eze no matter his or her status or position that goes contrary to the above listed conditions shall cease to be Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State member and all his or her rights, position, grown and entitlement forfeited ad withdrawn.
The elders that sign those communiqué are; Chief Oliver Akabueze, Chief Andy Moore, Chief Sunday Udeh, Chief Mrs Kate Onyechere, Eze Ikem Agbasi, Eze Anthony Anosike, Eze Okpotembe, High Chief Mbamara and Chief Mrs Ade Ofoegbu. They concluded.

VP Shettima Set to Lead Delegation to Zamfara as Governor Dauda Lawal Formally Joins APC
VP Shettima Set to Lead Delegation to Zamfara as Governor Dauda Lawal Formally Joins APC
The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finalized plans to receive Vice President Kashim Shettima for the formal defection and reception of Governor Dauda Lawal into the ruling party, scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
State APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani Maikatako, disclosed this during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held in Gusau, the state capital. He noted that the Vice President would be joined by the party’s national leadership to mark what he described as a landmark political realignment in the state.
Maikatako expressed the party’s excitement over Governor Lawal’s return, recalling that Zamfara had historically been an APC stronghold and that the Governor was previously a bona fide member of the party before his earlier exit.
“We all know that Zamfara has long been one of the APC’s stronghold states, where the defected Governor was once a bona fide member. Now that he has decided to return home, having been satisfied that the APC remains his second choice after the one he left for obvious reasons,” Maikatako stated.
The Chairman called on all party faithful across the 147 wards in the state’s 14 local government areas to turn out en masse to honour the Vice President’s visit. He emphasized that the event was strategically positioned to bolster the party’s popularity and strengthen its structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a strong appeal for unity, Maikatako urged members to set aside all factional tendencies, stressing that the APC remained one political family with shared goals, particularly the ambition to make Zamfara and Nigeria great again.
Echoing similar sentiments, a former state APC Chairman, Lawal M. Liman, appealed to members to cascade the message to their wards and local government areas. He reinforced the need for cohesion, noting that the party’s collective strength would be critical to achieving success in future elections.
All eyes are now on Gusau as the ruling party prepares for a high-profile political gathering expected to further consolidate its influence in Zamfara State.
