Our Mandate Is To Win Soul To The Kingdom Of God, Empower Widows And Non -Privilege In The Society – Prophet, Dr Chris Okafor
Nigerian Prophet, Dr. Chris Okafor is no doubt in one of his best moment as he just celebrated his birthday few days ago. He is a Prophet whose prophecy, prayers have changed a lot of things. He has been to so many countries, touched souls, healed a lot of people.
Interestingly, he got a Bullet proof G-wagon as a gift from his members and also gave out N200,000 Each to 108 widows in his church.
In this interview, he talked about how he feels about the birthday celebration, the gifts and many more.
EXCERPTS BELOW:
How did you feel celebrating your birthday?
I’m happy; I thank God for this special grace because it can only be God. No one has the power to add or subtract a day from his or her age.
What next after this?
We have a mandate to reach one billion souls and part of this mandate is that we would go from nations to nations to preach the gospel and by the grace of God, we have reached about 46 Nations of the earth and we are not relenting. It is the grace of God. I am privileged to be among those called by God to this great commission.
Again, we are going to be reaching the less privileged during our Thanksgiving. This is part of our lives, we do this everyday. We are going to empower about 2,000 widows, orphans and the less privileged. We are going to give them bags of rice, money, garri and other cooking materials. We believed in doing this because the Bible supports it.
The government has failed us so, we Church has the onus on us to assist our people. The Bible says the government shall be upon his shoulders so, what we are doing is to go from grace to grace as well as reach more people.
Looking at the killings going on in several parts of the nation mostly that of the catholic priests recently, would you say Church is quite not doing what it suppose to?
It not right that the church is quite. It is very worrisome but, the battle is not only physical but also spiritual. That we are fighting from the spiritual point of view doesn’t not mean we are quite or that we are not doing anything about the situation. According to the Bible, when Peter was arrested, the church didn’t make noise but noise was going on in the spiritual realm. And as a result of that noise, there was a response that brought Peter out of the prison. That is what we Christians are doing right now. You know the government we have now is the one that is ready to crush anyone who speaks against them so, we have to deal with such situation diplomatically and continually pray for the country.
President Buhari was alleged to have called Nigerian youths lazy. Do you share his opinion?
If the President has said that then, he’s not right. Because you guys are youths, you are hardworking, that is why you are here. This is past 10 midnights and you are here because you are hardworking. So, for him to have said that is bad. It is because there is no job and that those who got jobs are not doing the right one, that is why you have insecurity in the country. It is only in Nigeria that will have police manning the VIP’s, in other countries they move about freely and it was because there was insecurity in our country due to lack of job. Most of these guys who perpetrate evil are graduates and intelligent people but, because there’s no job they go into kidnapping. Someone who does that is not a lazy person. Fraudsters and those in 419 businesses have brain, they are intelligent but because their intelligence is not properly channeled, that is why we can say they are lazy.
Someone that can convince somebody to pay millions of naira is not a lazy person but, the intelligence is channeled properly, they would use it for the good and the betterment of the nation. So, the government has not done well. I don’t think the youths are lazy but, the government made them so.
Your spiritual children blessed you with a brand new G-Wagon, did you see this coming and how will you describe this kind gesture?
Oh! I can’t thank God enough. I appreciate them and this one will ginger us to do more because, when you are playing football and you have supporters who are cheering you up, it’s for you to do more. So, by this kind gesture it means they are saying we are behind you, go ahead and do more and I’m telling you that we are going to take more territories
The Chris okafor foundation is empowering over 2,000 widows across the globe, can you tell us why you took this decision and it is coming at your birthday?
The body of Christ has gone beyond the prayer and deliverance alone, because if you deliver without the physical deliverance the whole process is not completed, so the deliverance is not complete, if you deliver a man who is jobless to go into the world and make exploit, I did not think it will go well always, but in some cases if you deliver and empower such person, heaven in its self rejoice, so we in liberation city knows the important of time and season. So we decided that if the women (widows) are empowered in directly the nation is empowered. Also part of my vision is to ensure that the less privilege and the widows get the same privilege from God, so we decide to empower them. Meaning one of our mandate is to continually put smile into the less privilege in the society

Precision and Heritage: How Fifi Stitches Is Rewriting African Fashion Narratives
Precision and Heritage: How Fifi Stitches Is Rewriting African Fashion Narratives
A Nigerian-born designer is gradually carving out a cross-continental footprint in contemporary fashion, blending African textile heritage with British technical discipline.
Esther Fiyinfoluwa Adeosun, Founder and Creative Director of Fifi Stitches, is gaining recognition for structured womenswear and bridal couture that reinterprets traditional fabrics through architectural tailoring and precision construction.
Born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Adeosun’s fashion journey began at home, seated beside her mother’s sewing machine. What started as childhood curiosity, sometimes jamming the machine just to understand its mechanics—evolved into a disciplined design practice now operating between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
During an interview with journalists the fifi Stitches once mentioned “I was fascinated by how flat fabric could transform into something structured and meaningful”.
In her Story , early designs made for her family, though imperfectly finished, were worn with pride—an encouragement that laid the foundation for her professional confidence.
Today, Fifi Stitches is recognised for sculpted bodices, controlled tailoring, corsetry construction, and the contemporary reinterpretation of Ankara, Aso Oke, and Adire textiles.
The brand challenges the long-held perception that African fabrics belong solely in ceremonial contexts, instead positioning them within global luxury and modern design spaces.
Adeosun’s training reflects this dual perspective. She studied Fashion Design and Entrepreneurship at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, and earned a Diploma in Fashion Design through Alison Online.
In the UK, she undertook industry-focused technical training with Fashion-Enter Ltd and gained fashion business exposure through Fashion Capital UK.
Her technical expertise spans pattern drafting, draping, garment technology, structured tailoring, corsetry, and bespoke fittings—skills she describes as central to credibility in fashion. “Precision builds trust,” she says. “A designer must understand construction as deeply as creativity.”
Fifi Stitches has showcased collections at the Suffolk Fashion Show, Liverpool Fashion Show – FB Fashion Ball, Red Carpet Fashion Event in London, and through editorial features in London Runway Magazine.
The brand has also received coverage in The Guardian Nigeria and Vanguard Allure, expanding its visibility across markets.
Beyond couture, Adeosun integrates community impact into her practice.
She has facilitated garment construction workshops, draping sessions, and introductory training programmes for women and emerging creatives, promoting fashion as both artistic expression and vocational empowerment.
Fifi Stcithes Boss operates between Nigeria and the UK, in order to continue to shape her brand identity.
According to her “Nigeria provides cultural richness and expressive textile traditions, while the UK offers structured production systems, sustainability conversations, and institutional frameworks”.
Looking ahead, Adeosun said she plan to establish a fully structured fashion house spanning Africa and the UK, develop scalable production partnerships, launch capsule collections, and expand independent editorial visibility.
Her broader ambition is clear: to position African textile craftsmanship within global contemporary design conversations—through structure, discipline, and technical excellence.

Electric 8-Seater Tula Moto Keke Enters Nigerian Market, Targets Higher Operator Earnings
Electric 8-Seater Tula Moto Keke Enters Nigerian Market, Targets Higher Operator Earnings
LAGOS — A new electric-powered tricycle with an expanded passenger capacity has been introduced into Nigeria’s urban transport sector, offering operators a potentially more profitable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional petrol-driven “keke.”
The newly launched 8-seater electric tricycle, now available in Lagos with plans for nationwide distribution, features a dual-row seating arrangement capable of accommodating up to eight passengers per trip—significantly higher than the standard three-passenger configuration common across the country.
Promoters of the innovation say the increased capacity is designed to boost daily earnings for operators, particularly amid persistent fluctuations in fuel prices. By running entirely on electric power, the vehicle eliminates dependence on petrol, reducing operating costs and shielding drivers from fuel price volatility.
According to the distributors, the tricycle is equipped with a durable battery system capable of covering extended distances on a single charge, making it suitable for commercial operations across high-traffic routes, residential estates, campuses, and marketplaces.
“The concept is straightforward—enable drivers to earn more while spending less,” a company representative stated. “With higher passenger capacity and zero fuel requirements, operators can maximise each trip without the burden of daily fuel expenses.”
Beyond its cost-saving potential, the electric keke is also said to require less maintenance than traditional models, offering additional long-term savings. Its quieter and smoother operation is expected to enhance passenger comfort and overall commuting experience.
Industry analysts note that the introduction of electric mobility solutions reflects a growing shift toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation alternatives in Nigeria, particularly in densely populated urban centres such as Lagos.
The distributors added that the product is currently available under a limited promotional offer, with delivery options across the country.
