Faith Meets Family: Godly Parenting Summit Prepares Lagos Parents for Intentional Parenting
LAGOS, NIGERIA — Parents across Lagos are preparing for a powerful and transformative gathering as the Godly Parenting Summit takes center stage on Saturday, June 7, at Mecelina’s Place, Isaac John Street, Ikeja, beginning at 8:00 AM.
Convened by family advocate Ify Okafor and powered by Star Station Inc., the summit is designed to equip parents with the spiritual insight, practical skills, and community support needed to raise confident, responsible, and God-fearing children in today’s complex world.

“Parenting is not just a role—it’s a calling,” says Ify Okafor. “Our mission at the Godly Parenting Summit is to help parents lead with love, raise with purpose, and build homes firmly rooted in faith. When parents are empowered, children thrive—and society transforms.”
The one-day summit will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers, including keynote speaker Chioma Mommah and other renowned voices such as Ayo Vincent, Victor Akinyede, Charles Aigbona, and Ebitimi Ajegbo, among others. Each speaker will share valuable insights, real-life experiences, and actionable strategies for navigating the highs and lows of parenthood.

According to Okafor, this is more than just another parenting seminar—it’s a movement to build a strong, faith-centered parenting community.
“We’ve designed each session to be both spiritually enriching and practically applicable,” she explains. “From setting healthy boundaries to fostering open communication and helping children discover their divine purpose, parents will leave with tools they can use immediately.”
The summit will also mark the official launch of Ify Okafor’s latest book, Parenting with the Father Everyday, a heartfelt collection of simple prayers for parents navigating daily parenting challenges.
“Parenting with the Father is a spiritual companion for parents—a reminder that we are never alone,” says Okafor. “It helps parents turn their struggles into sincere conversations with God, expecting answers and guidance where we need them most.”
Recognizing the challenges facing today’s parents—from digital distractions to shifting cultural values—Okafor underscores the importance of faith, support, and intentional parenting.
“Parenting in this generation is not for the faint-hearted,” she notes. “With so many pressures pulling families in different directions, the Godly Parenting Summit offers a moment to pause, reflect, and realign with your true purpose as a parent.”
Admission to the Godly Parenting Summit is free, but the impact is expected to be life-changing.
“We want every parent to walk away with renewed confidence, deepened faith, and a clear vision for their family,” Okafor concludes. “Come ready to be inspired, equipped, and transformed. Your family’s future begins here.”
