24-years-old man killed by suspected cult gang in Ogun State

A suspected members of notorious cult gang killed one Moses Joseph, in Igode community, Ogijo, area of Ogun State.

 

 

 

 

 

Saharaweekly gathered that the deceased,who hail from. Benue State, was shot by the gangs group last Tuesday around 8pm at the front of his brother house.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs Morenikeji who narrated the incident to our correspondent said she could not believe that her brother in law a vibrant young man who was up and doing to make sure he achieved his vision in life was cut short by unknown gang group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She said that the deceased was outside the house taking fresh air, Fakile in the Igode community, Ogijo area when this group came in and opened fire on him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Moses is my husband’s younger brother,on Tuesday he came to visit us,he resides around the neighborhood but by that time my husband went to a football viewing centre to watch match.

 

 

 

 

 

“I was inside the house when we heard a gunshot,people were afraid until about 10 minutes after we heard some people screaming that Moses has been shot immediately I rushed out only to see my brother-in-law in the pool of his blood, we rushed him to the hospital but by the time we got there, he was already dead.

 

 

 

 

 

According to her, we reported the matter at Igode Police Station,his sudden death shocked everyone it was as if we were watching a drama and it was really strange .

 

 

 

 

 

The deceased elder brother described his his death as a dream,I can’t believe that my brother is gone,just like that.

 

 

 

 

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, he confirmed the incident.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He said it was a cult-related matter which were under investigation. “The police are aware of this incident,investigation has commenced. The case is linked to some cult activities and the police have already started an investigation on it.
