Abiodun wins corporate governance excellence award
The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has been conferred the Excellence in Corporate Governance (Infrastructural Development) award by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), during the group’s 46th Annual Conference and Dinner/Awards held at the Shell Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
Governor Abiodun expressed delight that his administration’s economic blueprint had begun to yield fruits as more businesses and factories continued to spring up in different parts of the state.
He said his administration had positioned the state by providing the right environment to ease doing business, thereby increasing prosperity to the people.
Governor Abiodun, who was represented by his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, at the event which had the theme, ‘National Debt Burden: Causes, Effects, and Realistic Economic Solutions’, said: “We are leveraging on our closeness to Lagos State using the pull factor. It has been bearing fruits as new businesses and factories are coming in on a daily basis to our state.
“We are developing and constructing roads to encourage more investors to move around the state with ease.”
He reiterated the commitment of his administration to the development of Olokola Free Trade Zone to tap from its potentials.
The governor thanked the institute for the honour done him and the state, saying apart from being an inspiration for more work.
