Akpabio Pockets Yari, Emerges Senate President

 

 

 

Interestingly, former Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio, has been elected the 10th Senate President of Nigeria.

 

 

 

 

Akpabio, former minister of Niger Delta affairs, was elected at the inauguration of the 10th assembly on Tuesday.

 

 

 

He defeated Abdulaziz Yari, former Zamfara State governor.

 

 

 

 

It would be recalled that Akpabio was the anointed candidate of President Tinubu and the APC.
