Sahara Weekly Reports That The National Youth Mobilisation, Southwest Directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Gov Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and his Lagos State counterpart, Babajide Sanwoolu for the resounding victory recorded over Saturday governorship polls.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the candidate of APC had scored 276,298 votes to defeat his closest rival and PDP candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, who scored 262,383 votes while Babajide Sanwo-Olu polled 762,134 to defeat first runner-up, Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour with 312,329 votes, while Abdulazeez Adeniran of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, got 62,449 votes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In statement signed by Omooba Adekunle AYOOLA, Member of the National Youth Mobilisation, Southwest of the PCC, the youth disclosed that it was not surprising that Abiodun and Sanwoolu won their re-election bid given their sincere commitment to raise standard of good governance in their respective States in the last four years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Omooba Adekunle AYOOLA in the statement said “we want to use this medium to congratulate Gov Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State as well as Gov Babajide Sanwoolu for the befitting victory recorded during last Saturday governorship polls.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“We have no doubt that the victory of these two governors who contested on the platform of our great party was largely due to their outstanding performance since assuming office almost four years ago. It is on record that Gov Abiodun as well as Gov Babajide Sanwoolu have pursued projects that not only answer to the yearnings of the people but have also impacted on the socio-economic development of the two states.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“We urged those who didn’t make it this time around to join hands with the governors in moving the country forward after all, the country belongs to all of us. It’s also our desire that these great leaders will use their second term to consolidate on good governance while also forming formidable team with the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to renew hope of Nigerians.
