The Ikorodu Dog Breeders and Lovers Association (IDBAL),yesterday elected new President and excos. The event took place at Treasure Lounge Event Center, Ikorodu. Lagos.
In his speech, the incoming President Mr. Onibudo Sheriff Olayiwola promised to render a responsive,accountable and integrity based service to the members
He assured members that he will improve members Standard of Operating Procedure (SOP) which will make IDBAL more professional in canine management.
Sheriff also affirmed his commitment and promised to reposition IDBAL and the security of members who are breeding dogs for business and they will be guaranteed in any form of attacks or stealing the dog will be traceable and reunited with the family.
He explained that dog serves as security for his owner and also the next neighbors, which he will encourage everyone to key into and to have a dog as security guard ,it makes our vicinity free from any attacks because the fear of the unknown will make intruders abort their mission.
According to him,dogs are psychotherapist in nature and it helps human live without being depressed also they are lovely to be with, within and outside the compound, dog is actually man’s best friend.
“I will make sensitization, seminars and monthly exercise as part of my plans to be benefited by members.
Sherrif said since inception of the association as a member he has enjoyed the privileges and by his grace being the president elect his  members will also benefits and be part of his  success.
Rotarian Tony Udocha,board member of Ikorodu Dog Breeders and Lovers Association (IDBLA) has attested to the success of the free and fair election ,he appreciated the past executive for their input.
I will used this medium to encourage the new executives to bring back aggrieved members on board because we are one big and happy family and can grow together to a higher level.
He advise new administration to join hands in working as a team and not to be rigid with ideas, also scale up human management with better relationship with members.
One of the stakeholder of Ikorodu Dog Breeders and Lovers Association (IDBAL) ,Prophet Israel Olusoga Oladehinde aka Olusho Agbara Oluwa, has expressed his love and happiness for being a member of the association.
He points that IDBAL is a good association for dog breeders that preaches love,peace and unity among members and dogs.
“I’m optimistic that the new executives will perform better, though the last administrative did their best too but I want the new administration to soar higher for betterment of canine industry,he said .
Olusoga urged new executive to make the dog breeding activities in Ikorodu the best which include members welfare which others will emulate.
