EBHOMIEN JULIUS OSAMUDIAMEN, ARRESTED

 

The agent of main opposition party Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen, was arrested by Nigeria joint task force police and military Men, at the Esan West collation centre in Ekpoma. when he raise alarm at the venue in protest of the exercise been rigged in Favour of The party All progressive Congress (Apc).presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to journalists who said the issue started when the returning officer Mr Ola Iho Ojo in charge of ward 2 Ujiogba Esan West local government area. immediately the returning officer presented the results to the Inec officer Professor Uwa mandy in Esan West, there was commotion and protest by the Agent of people Democratic Party Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen.


Mr Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen protest for the cancellation of the Results presented by the Returning officer alleged that the results collected at different polling units in Ujiogba wards was different from what the returning officer presented for collation.
INEC returning officer professor ola rejected the demand of Mr Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen and said the collation will continue.

INEC then continued with the collation exercise.

We are not here to rubber stamp the electoral fraud that has been declared by INEC and APC, Mr Ebhomien Julius told journalists during the collation process.

“INEC is compromised. APC has influenced INEC,” he said.
While alleging that the entire process has already been compromised by INEC, Mr Ebhomien Julius, sought for the cancellation of the entire Presidential election results in ward 2 Ujiogba.
Julius Ebhomien an agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had expressed dissatisfaction on the process of the collation of results from Esan West collation officers for the presidential election.

He had requested that uploaded results must be displayed on the screen by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the exercise could continue. Mr Julius Ehbomien alleged that the uploaded results differ from what collation officers were presenting.

“INEC failed in the transmission of results. When Julius Ehbomien and other party agents raised the issue, the INEC returning officer evaded the comments,” he said.

Consequently, many party leaders have bitterly complained that INEC officials at the polling units were unable to upload election results into the IReV.

JULIUS EBHOMIEN affirmed that the only way for them to see that BVAS hasn’t been bypassed is to see uploaded results. “

“We insist the INEC chairman displays uploaded results by state as the results are being presented,” he said.
The police quickly string into action when they see Mr Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen, refuse for the continuation of the process.
Mr Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen, was arrested by the police to allow the continuation of the process.
According to the Esan West divisional police officer said, Ebhomien Julius was arrested to allow the continuation of Results and he will be charge to court for instigating violence during the collation of 2023 presidential collation of results in Esan West local government area Ekpoma Edo State.
The police further said that according to the 2022 electoral law as amended that anyone find causing violence before,during or after election shall face 14 years in prison.
The police said Mr Ebhomien Julius Osamudiamen, will be under police custody for persecution and breach of Electoral law.
According to the people Democratic Party chairman in Esan west Mr Akhimien said the party agent was acting under Nigeria constitution for right of freedom of speech and right to protest. he further claims that Inec has rigged the Election in Favour of The ruling party All progressive Congress, stating that Democracy is in danger in Nigeria and call on international communities to come to the rescue of Nigeria.
