Malice Targeted at Osinbajo Will Only Promote Him” …Apostle Suleman declares

Teachings of servant of God and senior pastor at the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) worldwide, Apostle (Prof.) Johnson Suleman, is, no doubt, an impeccable guide to the fact that the Gospel is a holistic message with implications for all areas of life, including how the political process is engaged. They are good reasons Christians should care more about politics.

Apostle Suleman had lent a voice to the tale spreading about Nigeria’s vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. The number two man had been reported in purported face-off with certain forces in the presidency who are said to be close to his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, allegedly because of some decisive actions he took when he was in charge of the presidency for certain periods in 2017 and 2018.

Like a true God’s Oracle that he is, Suleman in his usual characteristics had waded in, premising his intervention on the fact that whatever the issues are around the seat of a nation’s government, they do have a substantial impact on the citizens.

On his Twitter page on Thursday, Apostle Suleman expressed worries over Osinbajo’s fate, although, he confessed that some of his actions as number two man and Christian leader did not impress him.

“I have read stuffs about him and I’m worried about what I’m reading, including his actions, inactions and reactions, but I love him,” wrote the famous cleric. He, however, added that the treatment (against Osinbajo) if true, is unfair and a bad precedent, noting that “if God is with a man, malice against him will only promote him.”

Probed why he frequently engages in ‘political talks’, the firebrand pastor declared that politics, in a very real sense, is one of the most important areas in which Christians must demonstrate love to neighbours. He asserts that Christians cannot honestly claim to care about others and not engage the arena that most profoundly shapes basic rights and freedoms, which is caring for the hungry, thirsty, naked, sick and lonely, and speaking for the helpless. This arena, he articulated, is most important to Jesus and should be to His followers as well.

“We shall pray for them where necessary and we will condemn evil when it is required because government derives its authority from God and the authority is meant to promote good and restrain evil,” stated the servant of God who just ended a two-day testimony-filled crusade tagged ‘Open Heavens’ in Johannesburg, South Africa.
