In response to a significant legal triumph, Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, Chairman of The Mandate Movement (TMM), a group under the auspices of the All Progressive Congress (APC), expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, and the entire APC leadership following the affirmation of their electoral victory by the Appeal Court in Lagos.

The Court of Appeal, represented by Justices Yargata Nimpa, Samuel Bola, and Paul Bassey, delivered a unanimous decision to dismiss the appeals lodged by the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), solidifying the tribunal’s earlier judgment. This reaffirms the people’s mandate bestowed upon Governor Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Hamzat.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s triumph in the March elections, where he secured a remarkable 762,134 votes, underscores the overwhelming support of the populace. The Mandate Movement acknowledges and commends the dedication of its members, who played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the APC across all levels.

In a statement issued today through a chieftain of the party, Prince Adewale Arogundade signed on behalf of the chairman, the group also expresses appreciation for the unwavering commitment of APC leaders, members, and particularly, the dynamic individuals within The Mandate Movement. Their tireless efforts have significantly contributed to the ongoing progress and development of Lagos state.

The statement emphasizes a call to Nigerians for patience with the Bola Tinubu-led government, assuring that the APC remains devoted to fulfilling its promises. The belief is that, with collective patience and support, the fruits of good governance will become evident.

Furthermore, The Mandate Movement assures APC members that their steadfastness has not gone unnoticed, stating that Governor Sanwo-Olu, who is a listening leader, has promised due recognition and rewards for their contributions.

Enilolobo extends an invitation to opposition parties to unite with Governor Sanwo-Olu and the APC, emphasizing that governance takes precedence over political activities.

Finally, the State Chairman of The Mandate Movement, expressed gratitude to the esteemed justices of the Appeal Court, particularly Justice Yargata Nimpa, Justice Samuel Bola, and Justice Paul Bassey, for upholding the rule of law and delivering a unanimous decision based on merit.
